Very disappointing - a bit of a let-down. My advice is to avoid this hotel.
Pros:

The bed was comfortable and the food was good. That's about all I can say in the hotel's favour.

Cons:

We were very disappointed with this hotel. We stayed in what was described as a room with a balcony and garden view, but turned out to be a very narrow balcony that was not big enough to put a chair on safely and the room overlooked a patch of overgrown waste land. Although we didn't use the pool it was not very big and wouldn't accommodate more than a couple of people. At reception a massage service was advertised. My wife wanted to book a session and paid the required fee. Then the receptionist spent around 20 minutes on the phone, obviously trying to arrange someone. It turned out that the massage was at another premises that would require a tuk tuk ride which the hotel would arrange and pay for, but she would have to make, and pay for, her own journey back. Not happy with this she decided to cancel and after quite a few minutes the receptionist reluctantly refunded her money. It should have been made clear from the start that the massage service was not actually at the hotel but was at a completely different establishment.

Je ne recommande pas.
Pros:

Petite dej OK.
Personnel OK.

Cons:

Piscine degeulasse. Pas de pompe activée.

Bruit de travaux de 15H à 23h30. Reprise des travaux à 6H00 du matin. On est en vacances pour se reposer par pour entendre une disqueusse.

Impossible de dormir tranquille.

Hjælpsomt personale, meget tæt på byen, dejlig mad i restauranten, fantastisk morgenmad bortset fra kaffen. Gode senge, god belysning i rummet

Cons:

Internettet meget ustabilt.

We waren blij te kunnen vertrekken
Pros:

• ontbijt met prachtig zicht op de "lake"
• ideale locatie, op wandelafstand van het centrum
• veeeeel apen op het terras

Cons:

• We kregen een kamer in de kelder, waardoor van onze "lakeview" niet veel overbleef. Jammer als je dan expres bijbetaalt hiervoor.
• De kamer rook naar schimmel, toen we dit aankaarten kregen we "I'm sorry". Niet fijn om in een vochtige kamer te slapen.
• Door de kamer in de kelder gesitueerd was, werkte de wifi niet.
• Receptie belt om 9.30 naar de kamer (wij lagen nog te slapen), om te vragen als we ontbijt moeten hebben... lijkt een fijn gebaar maar hoeft toch absoluut niet? Wij lagen nog maar van 3 uur in ons bed en hadden liever uitgeslapen en dan zo vroeg gewekt te worden.
• ENORM veel geluidsoverlast uit de gang.
• nog heel veel kleintjes zoals een haardroger die niet werkt, haren in de badkamer, slecht bed, gigantisch vuil zwembad....

Heel jammer voor een hotel die evenveel kost als de Radisson enkele straten verder.. absoluut zijn geld niet waard.

Lage gut wenn auch bei der Anreise (Taxi) schwierig;zu Fuß in 5' beim See

Een aan te raden hotel.
Pros:

Eerder klein maar mooi hotel op een heuvelrand. Onze kamer en het restaurant hebben een prachtig zicht op een meer en de Tempel of the Tooth.
Het personeel is vriendelijk en bezorgdzaam zeker nadat we ziek zijn geworden na het eten in de stad. Men vroeg regelmatig hoe het was en er werd spontaan fruit op de kamer gebracht.

Cons:

Voor ons niets maar het steile pad naar het hotel kan hinderlijk zijn voor mensen met een mobiele beperking.

Super Lage
Pros:

Die Lage war sehr gut und direkt am Kandy Lake. Das Frühstück buffet war sehr umfangreich. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Cons:

Der Pool ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und nicht so sauber.

Pros:

Overall this is a great hotel. It was in a beautiful part of Kandy up on the hill but also very close to town. It was also walking distance to one of the famous Kandy cultural shows.
The view from the pool and the restaurant is amazing.
Staff were very helpful.

Cons:

The pool was green on the sides so I was not able to swim. Pool is also not heated so it was quite cold.
The room smelt a little bit musty as we were told not to open any windows because of the monkeys.
The room is not well sound proof so you can hear other guests movements in the morning.

Close to city centre.

Cons:

Took along time to check in. Secondly wanted to cancel my booking and then pay cash. We paid cash which is fine but this happened last time I booked with this company. This resulted in my card being charged two months later. Getting back the money is hassle. Disappointed in the whole process which took over an hour to check in and pay cash. Also had to move a couple of times due to several bookings. Wanted us to pay a lot extra just to stay in the same room.
