Pros:

Overall his is a very nice hotel , it obviously has a long history of excellent service and the state of the rooms is good, they are clean and offer comfort, the beds are great. The pool is nice, and they have a few beautiful little secluded gardens on the premise. Theres a bar, and a very good restaurant with great service. Actually this restaurant alone makes this hotel worth a stay. The breakfast is impeccable. The food is probably the best thing about this hotel. There are also cab drivers stationed in front of the hotel at all times, which comes in handy. The center is not that far by mototaxi.

Cons:

So a few things. The lobby staff is somewhat distant, theyre not really into too much talk , and make no effort to translate, which can be annoying if you have some questions or want certain specific things and dont speak spanish. They also dont carry change if you pay cash so you need to wait around a bit. The hotel is rather expensive, but the food is not, those prices are great value. My room for the last stay was in the main building. At the backof the hotel there was an insane amount of party noise in one of the nearby houses and it went on all night, awfull music with a sort of would-be-dj yelling in the mic, the whole night. In the garden theres also quite some noise from airco fans. The room acoustics only made this worse. this isnt entirely the hotel's fault, but its obviously something which i would like to know beforehand before staying anywhere. I was very tired that night and i could not sleep. I tried asking at the lobby desk but the lady there didnt seem to care at all. I also stayed earlier in this hotel in one of the garden cabins, and this was fine, quiet and enjoyable. I would recommend if you stay there to definitely take a cabin or the lodge and not the main building. The surroundings arent that super great , this neighbourhood has a sort of backalley-vibe. i prefer to be in the centre near plaza del armas. but to catch a plane its actually really good, probably te best high quality option in the area. The airport is at 5 minutes by taxi.

Pros:

It was a great resort style accommodation away from the city which is what we wanted . Overall we liked the place. And we would stay again despite some minor annoyances
