Located in a very nice neighborhood, close to the train and bike rental options. One very nice receptionist who helped us and gave us a bottle of sparkling water for free.
Rooms were very small for a large amount of money. Found long black hair in the shower, when our towels were changed we received one less. We had to bring our own luggage to the luggage storage on a different floor and just got the key from the reception, normally they would take your luggage for you.
After spending five nights at Scandic Kødbyen, we came away with a very positive impression. We chose a Superior Room and it was definitely the right choice for us: spacious, comfortable, very clean and completely in line with the photos and information we had seen on Booking.com. In a city like Copenhagen, finding a room of this size and comfort at a reasonable price is something we particularly appreciated.
The location is undoubtedly one of the hotel’s strongest points. It is in Vesterbro, a lively and very pleasant neighbourhood, especially in the evening. There are plenty of places nearby that are popular with locals, whether you want to have dinner, grab a drink or simply enjoy a beer and soak up the Copenhagen atmosphere. The hotel is also extremely well connected: Copenhagen Central Station is about a ten-minute walk away, while access to the city’s train network is just four streets from the hotel. It is a great combination — easy to get around during the day while still being able to enjoy the neighbourhood when you return in the evening.
The hotel places a strong emphasis on technology and giving guests independence. Check-in can be completed online in advance and, once you arrive, you simply scan your QR code at one of the machines to collect your room key. For tech-savvy guests or anyone who prefers to do everything independently, it is extremely convenient. We personally enjoy a little more human interaction, so the experience can feel slightly impersonal, although staff are always available if you prefer to deal with someone directly. And whenever we did, the service was excellent: friendly, welcoming and professional throughout our stay.
We also really enjoyed the breakfast. There is a generous and nicely presented selection of breads and pastries, fruit, cereals, eggs, cheeses and some local specialities, alongside vegan choices and options catering for different dietary intolerances.
