Thalassa Boutique Hotel - Adults Only

Very unsafe location. We had unloaded the luggage on the busy street and carried the luggage up and down the stairs. No staff to help. The receptionist was rude and unpleasant. Loud noises from busy street and the swimming pool is size of hot tub.

Sea view split level suite was excellent. Very clean and the best views. Slight smell from drainage but didn't spoil the holiday. Hotel staff were amazing. Helpful and friendly. The restaurant was run separately so could not charge meals to room. Other restaurants nearby. Would recommend Cabo. Lovely views, food and staff. However, breakfast was included so no probs there. Enjoyed the varied buffet breakfast. Pool is small and on the roadside so noisy at times. Small beach area for the hotel but we had a lovely patio outside the room. 20 minute walk into the Old Town along a very busy, noisy main road.

Super smukt og charmerende hotel, med eneste rigtige minus er strandstykket som “hører” til hotellet, der burde ryddes op på daglig basis, for det er fyldt med skidt.
Men tager gerne tilbage, trods alt😊

Flott boutique hotel ved havet. Meget gjestfri betjening. Nydelig mat til frokost og i restauranten.

This was a perfect location for a few days’ getaway. Nice hotel right by the beach with lovely staff. Can also recommend the hotel restaurant. Five star stay!

This is a beautiful hotel with excellent, comfy beds, great staff and it's on the sea!
The beach nearby is pebbly and it's a 25 minute walk to the old town - not a huge amount to do in the immediate area, but the hotel itself more than makes up for that!

Wonderful oceanfront hotel, with a decent restaurant and fantastic breakfast. Spacious and very comfortable rooms with high ceilings and loft bedrooms. We had to leave early in the morning to catch a flight, so the staff packed us a nice breakfast the night before and left it in the mini fridge in our room for us. If you have a rental car, there is no parking at the hotel but there is a free lot a short walk up the road that the staff will direct you to.

I booked a Jr. suite and it is very nicely appointed. The air conditioning works perfectly. The room is maintained nicely and I had a loft bedroom facing the sea with a small balcony overlooking the sea. The decor was very nice with a living area with sofa, cocktail table. The in room safe was not bolted very odd and concerning they need to correct that. I had two bathrooms one on the main level with large shower and one in the loft bedroom a large circular sinker tub very nice to take a nice hot soak. Breakfast was very nice buffet with a large sweet and savoury selection including fresh fruit, fresh squeezed orange juice, very nice coffee. The lighting in my room is also very nice and thought out. The location is a bit far from Old town Rethymno a 30 minute walk but the local bus, walk or taxi will get you there fast. The upside is you are on the beach and have loungers and a semi private beach at your disposal. There are also some very fine dining options within one block and at the property were you can dine on the ocean and enjoy a very nice sunset.

View to die for!!! Excellent place, amazing boutique hotel with incredible view, sea had to many waves, so we used the little pool, which was great and had an awesome time. Restaurant was top tier, food was great, service was great, seafood moussaka not so much, order anything else, you will thank me for it, will stay here again next year. Great couples place.

The 2nd floor room was excellent. The view, the peace, the cleanliness, simply a dream. It should have a larger closet, if you're staying for 2 weeks, the current one isn't enough for 2 people. The staff was very helpful and nice, as was the restaurant staff. The seafood was excellently prepared, I have never had better seafood anywhere in Crete. If we go to Crete again, we will definitely stay in the same hotel.

This hotel was one of our favorites over our 3 week holiday on Crete. Many other reviewers commented on the lack of parking so we proactively reached out to the hotel to get recommendations on where to park. There is a free lot about 100 meters from the hotel. It's a gravel lot, but it did the job. There is a small pull out where you can drop your luggage quickly before you move the car. From the reception to the wait staff this hotel was on point. The room was spacious and modern and comfortable with a lovely balcony overlooking the water. The hotel has it's own restaurant and bar which is quite delicious. The private beach, like most Crete beaches, is rocky and water shoes are a good choice, but it is quiet and the water is clean and warm. We truly enjoyed our stay!

It is a bit too far to walk to Old Town but the cabs are cheap and a good way to get back and forth (even if you have a car - the cab is a good way to get to Old Town).

Très bel établissement avec une vue sur le fort de Rethymnon juste magnifique. Petit déjeune très bons, personnel agréable et à notre service.
Très bon restaurant, même si les prix restent un peu élevés que les restaurants à proximité de l'hôtel.

mais cela reste une très belle expérience et nous en garderons un très bon souvenir!

Die Lage ist OK – an der sehr befahrenen Uferstrasse die man jedoch nicht hört und mit wunderschöner Sicht aufs Meer und die Festung.
Das Design der Zimmer ist wirklich schön, leider aber sehr verlebt… vieles ist kaputt, angeschlagen, korrodiert etc.
Die Fernseher funktionieren gar nicht (liest man Berichte ist dies schon seit vielen Monaten so), das Personal sagt sie wüssten von nichts und kümmern sich drum – was sie nicht tun.
Das SPA existiert nicht mehr. Der Pool ist nicht in Benutzung. Es riecht sehr unangenehm in den Zimmern (schwefelig) es ist nicht schmutzig, fühlt sich dadurch aber sehr unangenehm an.
Das Frühstück ist OK – aber keinesfalls mehr als das.
Die Angestellten sind wirklich sehr freundlich und bemüht, das Eigner Ehepaar jedoch sehr unhöflich bis unverschämt, sowohl zu den Gästen als auch zum Personal.
Fazit: Auf Kreta und in Rthymno gibt es wahrlich eine riesige Auswahl deutlich besserer Unterkünfte.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen und erholsamen Aufenthalt in diesem schönen, sauberen und liebevoll eingerichteten Hotel. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Unser Zimmer mit Sicht zum Meer war fantastisch.
