To our surprise, a $125 cleaning fee was tacked on to our charge for a one-night stay in a single room. We left the room in immaculate condition, and were only in the room long enough to sleep. Booking.com indicated that the only other charge beyond the room fee would be the tax, no mention of a cleaning fee upfront. When we contacted the owner to resolve what we thought was an error, he said this $125 is a standard fee he always charges and he refused to refund or discount the fee. The room was adequate, nothing special. For the total cost of this booking, you can get a much nicer hotel room downtown in a better location without hidden fees.
Very Clean, and was extremely easy to work with this Company. It made my whole trip to Fenway Park even more enjoyable.

The hotel lies about the time they will get you check in information, lies about parking, and then has NO HUMANS to speak with at all! They send a text and it’s clearly from a foreign country and even when there is an actual emergency or issue they refuse to call or let you speak to an actual human. They also lie about there being stairs that are impossible to climb and the age of the property. Overall a total fraud!
Our stay at Charlesgate Suites was lovely. The whole building was extremely clean and our room had all the basic necessities. The little espresso machine and pods were a nice surprise.
It's about a 4 min walk to the green line station entrance, maybe 10 min to Fenway and 15 min to Newbury St.
The street itself is beautiful, very "Boston" with all the multistory brownstones.
I do wish there was a closer convenience store where you could get bottled waters and things. This is no fault of the Charlesgate of course. if you are staying there I would try to plan ahead so you are not walking 10 minutes from the 7Eleven carrying a case of water.
We would definitely stay here again.

The property is in very good condition. The room is spacious and comfortable. There is a laundry facility next to my room. The kids of the family above me made a lot of noise as I hear the running and stumping clearly from below.
The place was very clean, awesome location, and the communication between the owners was exceptional.
The only thing they could improve on was the quality of the toilet paper
Loved our stay in Boston. Great property and parking. My issue is that I have a large additional charge pending on my card with no explanation. I’ve messaged Charlesgate for more information but no response.

Basement room, by the back screeching door.
People came in and out at all hours of night and will not allow you to sleep.
That room’s basement location wasn’t communicated.
Also, door code didn’t work during check-in, room was set for 2 even though reservation was for three. Parking wasn’t available either, even though we requested in advance.
Terrible experience!
The couches had “white” stains

The floor had pubic like looking hairs
And the toilet paper roll didn’t stay on the holder.

This is the third time staying at the suites, and we would go no where else. The accommodations are great, it’s quiet, clean, and the kitchenette has everything you need to make a meal. We like the parking that is available. Also the staff is readily friendly and available, even though we only talked through texts, if we had a question, they got back in touch with us within 15 minutes!!
The location was amazing, easily walkable to the esplanade and Fenway Park. It is a very nice apartment, well maintained and pleasant to stay in.

A bit noisy from traffic on the street until we noticed that the outside double glazed windows were not shut. Once shut it was quiet.
