As a frequent traveler who has stayed in all types of hotels worldwide, I can confidently say that my experience at Hilton Suites Gulberg in Lahore was the worst ever. I initially booked a 7-night stay through Booking.com, but the reality was so unbearable that I had to leave after just 2 nights. Here’s why:
- Overcharged Rates
The hotel charged me 50% more than the confirmed rate on Booking.com without any prior communication. It was a "take it or leave it" situation—completely unethical and unacceptable.
- Booking Canceled on Booking.com
After I checked in, the hotel canceled my reservation on Booking.com, which seemed highly suspicious and unprofessional.
- Misleading Photos
The photos on Booking.com and other platforms are heavily photoshopped and don’t reflect reality. The actual conditions of the room were appalling:
- Walls damaged by humidity.
Disgusting smell coming from the bathroom and throughout the room.
Bathroom poorly maintained, creating a nauseating environment.
- Lack of Basic Amenities
The room was missing essential features:
No locking system for the door.
No safe to store valuables.
- Noise Issues
The noise levels were intolerable:
The room on the first floor was next to a wedding hall, with constant noise from guests coming and going all night.
Sunday morning construction noise exceeding 80 dB began at 8 am, making rest impossible.
Impact on My Stay
The horrible smell, constant noise, and unsafe conditions severely impacted my physical and mental health. I had no choice but to leave after 2 nights, even though I had booked for 7 nights.
Recommendation
This hotel falls far below the most basic standards of hospitality and ethics. I strongly advise against staying here. The pictures I’ve attached show the stark contrast between the advertised and actual conditions.
I hope this review serves as a warning to other travelers and pushes the hotel to address its serious shortcomings.

I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the rooms and service at this hotel. I booked a Presidential Suite, expecting top-notch standards, but it was far from acceptable. The room was dirty—bed sheets had stains, the floors were poorly cleaned, and the washroom was a complete mess. Shockingly, they checked me into the room and only started cleaning the washroom afterward. Even after their so-called cleaning, the washbasin was still clogged with trash, causing water to overflow and soak the entire bathroom. The commode was in an unhygienic state, with hair and stains left on it. Despite booking a non-smoking room, the entire room reeked of smoke. The Wi-Fi was another major disappointment; it was so slow that I couldn’t even stream a single video. To top it all off, the staff lacked professionalism and had no idea how to handle customer concerns. This hotel claims to be 4-star, but it feels more like a 1-star experience. It was a complete waste of money and time. I strongly advise against staying here. There are better options available then this hotel...
