Victoria Royal Beach Hotel

This property would have been just fine. The breakfast was good, the receptionist and staff were very nice, and the location was great. But two issues occurred which lead me to the negative rating.
1) During the night of my stay, a belligerent guest had a prostitute over. They spent at least an hour in the middle of the night fighting over the payment (just in front of my room). It was frightening, and I had hoped the hotel would call security. They did not. I understand that these issues with prostitutes also happen at luxury hotels, etc, but it is really important to protect the other guests from lying awake listening to a violent brawl and shouting match in the middle of the night.
2) there is a complimentary airport shuttle service, but the driver who took me to the airport had clearly been drinking. This is another safety issue.
You could easily stay here and enjoy the place if you don’t run into these two issues, but my experience was not so positive given what happened.

Wonderful hotel, great location, good food, great staff

Staff was nice, location was good and room was clean. However, the WiFi did not work in the rooms and they could not get coffee organized before 7:30am. Tip to manager, if you can't get your cook in early, have a hot pot in the room for early risers.

Great stay, although the staff should get the breakfast orders earlier than 9:15pm at night. We were asleep. Perhaps you could ask guests for their order at check in.,

Everything was excellent. Just need a pool and a lake view restaurant.

Another great stay. Always enjoyable. The staff are welcoming and friendly, and happy to help you with all the little things.

My flight arrived rather late in evening, but Chris was waiting for me. Room was lovely, very clean, spacious with beautiful view of the lake. Breakfast was provided, eggs, toast, coffee, fruit, and was more than enough. This is a great little "beach house" style guest house that provides great Ugandan hospitality!

Location is good but the room facilities is just fair. There are much better hotels in Entebbe at the rate.

Great lake-front location, and attentive service throughout. No extra charge for transfer to the airport at 2am, and the "basic" room I'd booked was anything but basic.
Wifi good in public areas, but didn't work in all of the rooms.

Not a five star property. Shower was not working properly, only one towel, no matt when you get out on a slippery floor.Towel holder came off the wall. Good location with nice view of Lake Victoria. Very good breakfast.

Quality rooms and attentive service in a great location. I didn't try the restaurant, as there is so much choice on the lakeshore. Victoria Mall is about 15 minutes walk, with a supermarket, restaurants (Cafe Javas isn't just a coffee shop), ATMs, and currency exchange.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The hotel was very responsive to my inquiries before we arrived. Our room was really nice and clean with a large balcony looking out at Victoria Lake. They have a restaurant on the premises that has excellent food (the pizza was one of the best I've had in a while!). The staff was very accommodating to all our requests and everyone was very nice.
The hotel offers a free ride from the airport which was a huge bonus. They are also a walking distance (about 15 minutes) from a small mall and botanical gardens. This was a perfect place to stay for couple nights and relax after a long flight.

Excellent room. Great food very good service. Only complaint was their credit card machine was inoperable. So had to go back to town for ATM cash to pay for the room. Otherwise excellent

My husband and I highly recommended this hotel for your stay as you step off your flight and into Uganda. Driver was waiting for us. If you have children you may want to select a different hotel that has a pool. Other than that we were made very comfortable here.

Was very disappointed that air conditioning was listed as an amenity when in fact only a fan was available. Entebbe is hot and is in a malaria zone, so I specifically paid extra for a hotel with air conditioning.

A gorgeous hotel. Beautiful view of the lake. Lovely quiet street. Great restaurants just a short walk away (2-3 minutes).

Great place to stay after a long flight. The staff really look after you well. Quiet, comfortable room. I highly recommend this hotel.

Was a really nice location outside of the main activities of the town. You feel like they care about your comfort even if modest in ammenities.
