Our initial reception and welcome felt a little underwhelming, and some of the staff came across as fairly aloof at first. There were a couple of simple requests, such as asking for a lighter or matchbox, where the response repeatedly focused on reminding us that smoking was not allowed in the rooms. Of course we understand and respect that policy, so having it reiterated several times felt a bit unnecessary and over the top.
On a few occasions staff also promised to send items to the room, including an extra room key and the lighter, however these never arrived and we had to follow up multiple times. The food was okay but nothing particularly memorable, and unfortunately the restaurant staff felt quite robotic and unfriendly, which made the overall dining experience a little disappointing.
While the rooms were comfortable and the location was convenient, overall the stay felt quite underwhelming considering the amount spent and the number of rooms we booked. We expected a much warmer and more polished experience, particularly in terms of service and attention to detail.
