A mediocre hotel in the middle of nowhere.

We have stayed in 6 different hotels during out trip to Iceland. This hotel had the worse dining experience of them all. Breakfast was very poor with low quality food options. Virtually no fresh fruit. Bread quality was poor. Cheese was all dairy free. No coffee machine in breakfast only mediocre drip coffee. We also had dinner and lunch in the hotel (we were stuck there due to the storm) and they were both very low quality. They are also very stingy with their bread during lunch and dinner. You have to pay a hefty price just to get a couple of small bread rolls (and you get only 2).

I think the hotel could improve also the way they deal with guests in situations like ours. We were stuck in the hotel during a severe weather storm and were not able to leave on our scheduled departure the day following our arrival as all roads coming into or out of the hotel were going to be closed early morning after our arrival. While the hotel was flexible and allowed us to stay an extra night at the same rate (which was nice) they could have done more. They did not offer us the possibility to stay in the room later the day of our original scheduled departure until such time as the roads would reopen (we either had to leave the room at 11:00 or we needed to pay for an extra day). This was despite the fact that the hotel clearly had plenty available rooms as no new guests were able to arrive to the hotel on that day due to the road closures. Upon arrival, when they told us that we will not be able to leave the hotel as planned the following day due to the anticipated road closure, they also did not allow us to cancel our room and refund us (we were thinking to go a night earlier to our next destination to escape the road closures planned for the following day). The hotel also did very little to make the time we were stuck in the hotel more pleasurable. They offered nothing in terms of entertainment, or any special attention to all the guests that were stuck all day in their rooms.

Fajne miejsce żeby się zatrzymać, ale nie w tej cenie.

Piękny widok z okna, czyste pokoje

Cons:

Zdecydowanie cena nie odpowiada jakości. Hotel mógłby zostać odświeżony. Śniadanie jest niesmaczne, brak ekspresu do kawy.
