A Very Enjoyable Stay with Exceptional Service
My stay at the St. Regis was very enjoyable overall. The hotel itself is clean, elegant, and luxurious, and there is a clear attention to detail throughout the property. However, what truly stood out for me was the staff and the exceptional level of service.
I would honestly give the staff 100 out of 10 for their friendliness, professionalism, communication skills, and genuine willingness to help. In particular, I would like to mention Mr. Alsayed at reception, who deserves special recognition.
Unfortunately, my room was not ready for check-in until around 4:30 PM, which understandably left me frustrated and angry at first. What impressed me most was the way Mr. Alsayed handled the situation. His ability to de-escalate tension, communicate calmly, and resolve conflict was outstanding. He listened, remained professional and respectful, and somehow managed to turn my initial frustration into genuine satisfaction. By the end of the conversation, I was actually apologising to him for my short temper!
And the funny part is that he managed to do all of this without offering me any compensation whatsoever! 😂 That, to me, says a lot about his people skills and professionalism. He simply knew how to handle a difficult situation properly and make a guest feel heard and respected.
I genuinely think St. Regis is lucky to have someone like Mr. Alsayed on their team. Exceptional employees like him are a major part of what makes a luxury hotel experience memorable.
One Area for Improvement
The main downside, and the reason I took two points off my overall rating, is the furniture in the rooms. While the hotel is undoubtedly luxurious, I felt that the room furniture did not quite live up to the standard I would expect from a St. Regis property, especially considering the room rates per night.
The furniture feels somewhat dated and, in my opinion, does not fully complement the otherwise luxurious atmosphere of the hotel. Given the price point and the expectations that come with the St. Regis name, I believe updating the room furniture would make a significant difference and bring the rooms more in line with the rest of the property.
I spent time at the Villa in the hotel and it was extremely beautiful. A pool view and lovely interior, highly recommend for any intimate gatherings. Morning breakfast was also great - large options and an entire healthy section.
I have had the pleasure of checking in with Mr. Marwan who has made my one week stay very easy. He was quick with concerns, regarding financial mishaps or room requests and was always joyful. An extremely helpful and genuine person and I’m glad to have had him as a point of contact.
Private dining is very low standards. A limited menu and very restrictive. Can not have pastries after 12 etc.
The rooms also required some maintenance. Furniture was worn out and carpet needed proper cleaning.
While the staff were very friendly they were rarely on time.
Due to the size of the hotel I do however understand the high demand. Still a point of improvement.
The spacious rooms
Time taken to deliver to the room
Everything was good and the stuff was friendly
Nothing
Our stay at the St. Regis was exceptional. The staff was extremely attentive, and our room was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The entire environment is calm, elegant, and peaceful. It was the perfect, relaxing way to end our trip. Highly recommended!
While Booking.com incorrectly lists the hotel as being 8.3 miles from Cairo international airport, the incredible staff completely made up for the confusion. They were so warm, nice, and personable that all of my logistical concerns about getting to the airport the next morning completely melted away!
The staff were so lovely! Special thanks to Mr. Ahmed at the front desk for being so accommodating
