Authentic village stay
Pros:

I've visited Crete for my second time and this was my favorite accommodation on that trip!

The owners, Markos and his wife, go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Food is delicious and well priced. My room was spacious and very clean.

Return pickup/drop-off from/to Sitia was included, and Markos was so kind to even show me several places on the way back like Vai, Ithanos and Toplou.

The village is very nice and you can go for great hikes from there, for example, through Zakros Gorge to the Minoan palace at the seaside. I highly recommend visiting Zakros and staying at this authentic accommodation! Efcharisto poli, Markos! Wishing you all the best! 😎

Pros:

Markus is great host, he not pnly picked up us in Sitia, as agreed in advance, but he also brought us to the beach of Kato Zakros and we could enjoyd the daily light through the gorge of death! And then he cooked us dinner, sweet person.

Pros:

Marko cooked us a great breakfast, was helpful to our questions, and was so kind to drive us to the Dead Gorge so we could drop off our car at exit, so we didn't have to walk both ways.

Cons:

Facilities are a bit outdated. Needs a bit sprucing up. Guess the price reflects the quality of establishment

Zentrale Lage im Ort. Netter Empfang durch die Wirtin. Sehr gute (harte) Einzelbetten. Kostenloser öffentlicher Parkplatz in kurzer Entfernung. Andere Restaurants zur Auswahl in der Nähe. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Zakros-Schlucht.

Cons:

Haus und Einrichtung recht abgenutzt aber sauber. Permanenter Essensgeruch und Zigarettenqualm? Lage direkt an der Durchgangsstraße nachts aber o.k..

Pros:

Very kind staff, awesome breakfast with some almond homemade cake! Rooms are simple but clean and tidy, 10 minutes away from the archeological site and the beach. Zakro is off limits for the tourist buses.. a good place to spend a couple of days!

Está todo lo necesario a mano. El hotel es antiguo, pero grande y decorado, tiene lo necesario .para nosotros fue perfecto.

Si vous n'êtes pas un ancien Routard vous aurez du mal avec cet établissement... Vous risqueriez même de partir.
Moi, cela m'a rappelé ma jeunesse !
Le descriptif ne reflète pas la réalité. Ne pas se fier aux photos. A beaucoup beaucoup vieilli avec un entretien très limite.
Clim HS, frigo HS, porte fenêtre qui ne s'ouvre qu'à moitié, volet coincé aux 3/4, finitions "hasardeuses", porte d'une autre époque. Ensemble vétuste.
Fuite dans la salle de bain.
A noter : des difficultés à payer par carte... alors j'ai payé en cash.

Bon c'est du pas cher. C'est très vetuste surtout la salle de bain. mais c'est propre, agréable, calme.
Ca fait peur en arrivant, mais on en rigole, car c'est très local, et une très bonne expérience dans ce petit village.
Le propriétaire état très gentil.
