Wanted to stay in a different area of Bogota at the end of my trip as I had stayed in La Candelaria at the beginning & did all the main tourist sites & museums then. From here I visited Zipaquira & the Botanical Garden.
It's a very upmarket area with expensive international restaurants so I found a couple of cheap places to have empanadas for dinner! Not a single backpacker in sight yet I had read on Booking.com it was located in guests favourite area! At least I felt safe wandering around on my own in the evening & used Uber to go to the bus station, botanical garden & airport plus it was quiet.
The staff were helpful & friendly & the Wifi worked!
I would not describe Zana as a boutique hotel. I was disappointed with this accommodation. It doesn't match the upmarket area. My room was very basic & there wasn't even a proper breakfast room. The breakfast was very simple & nothing like the photo on Booking.com.

Friendly staff, in a safe location. The room and bathroom were quite basic, but had everything we needed. The staff were kind and helpful.
Our room was by the entrance walkway, so we could hear people talking loudly when they arrived at the accommodation early - so would recommend ear plugs! The shower was also not brilliant - we were only able to get hot water working with minimal water pressure.

La ubicación es muy buena. Es difícil conseguir algo a buen precio en esa localidad y me pareció muy buena opción. También el personal nos atendió muy bien, muy agradables.
El lugar se ve un poco viejo para mi gusto, y si eres una persona que le molesta mucho los ruidos este lugar es un problema porque se escucha todo lo que ocurre. Ese fue mi problema con el lugar
The staff at Zana were lovely, friendly, and available on-site 24 hours. All rooms are accessed by outdoor staircase and walkway -nice views across the rooftops of Usaquen and up to the tree-lined hills.
Breakfast on Sunday was limited - there was no bread left ( only chocolate croissant with your scrambled eggs!) which was odd!
Vanaf het eerste moment heel warm onthaald en dit gevoel is alleen maar versterkt met de dagen. De gastvrouwen stonden altijd voor je klaar. Zeer goede communicatie. De locatie is dan wel ver weg van het centrum, maar meer dan waard naar veiligheid toe! Het plaatje klopte volledig!
‘S avonds is er een beetje geluidsoverlast van een dichtbijzijnde discotheek, maar het was niet storend.
