Nice hotel, very friendly staff and clean and well maintained. Can be noisy and the lay out is strange with the bar also being the reception and the sitting area for drinks also being the meeting area for tour bus groups as well as the restaurant. Not a complaint, just an observation.
All in all it served our purposes as much as needed.
Noise mostly and expensive for what it was compared to other accommodations we stayed at during our Iceland trip.

We booked a double room but the room we were given had separate twin beds and only one was made up. The friendly desk staff got us sorted out quickly though.
Average to large room size, and the furnishings were convenient with bedside tables, power sockets near the bed, places to put your suitcase, a couple chairs, a sink in the room, and a place to hang up a few items.
There was also a kettle and a small selection of tea/instant coffee, which we didn't partake in, but was nice to have available.
Cleanliness was good, and they are a certified bed bug free hotel, which I didn't realize had become a problem in Iceland since our last trip in 2018.
The price was not bad, though I did pay less for a larger room with a private bathroom, balcony, and breakfast on our previous night west of Vik, so in comparison it felt like a worse value.
Our biggest problem with this hotel was the heat & humidity!! It seems strange to write that about a hotel in Iceland but it's true. We were informed on check in that midges were still active in the area and it was recommended to leave the windows closed. We tried that the first evening, but with warm temperatures outside and a south facing window, our room was unbearably hot and humid - the small fan they had in the room didn't help. We suffered a couple midge bites to have a slightly more comfortable temperature, but also, the whole building seemed humid - the bedrooms, the bathrooms, the breakfast room/restaurant. It was always a relief to LEAVE the hotel and step into some fresh air.
The other issue was noise - there is practically no sound proofing between rooms. We could hear the people in the room next to us moving a clothes hanger on the rack, and it sounded like it was in our room! Not to mention feeling like we were in the same room as music playing, doors opening/closing, the bathroom across the hall etc. Luckily the hotel wasn't super busy, so not a lot of hallway traffic, and our neighbours were mostly quiet by midnight.

It was very quiet and the breakfast was pretty good
It is a basic hotel with standard facilities. It was a convenient stop on the ring rode and we opted for the cheaper, shared bathroom option so it was as described. It lacked some character and charm.

Durante la noche sonó la alarma antiincendios tres veces y no fueron capaces ni de pedir disculpas al día siguiente o tener algún detalle por pasar una noche sin descansar tranquilos.
El desayuno sin más, como en casi todos los sitios de Islandia con poco esmero.
This hotel was a in a beautiful location and close to town.
Please read carefully about the shared bathroom. While didn't mind it, my family members did not want to share a bathroom with other guests. So, if this bothers you (and you need a private bathroom), please consider booking elsewhere. But overall, this hotel was lovely to stay at, walk around, and the staff were very kind.
