Pros:

Pros:

Pros:

Only for solo travellers or friends.
Pros:

Finding this place isn't the easiest thing, you can walk here from the nearest metro station though. The hostel offers you clean and well-maintained dormitory beds. The rooms offered to us were for 3 people but trust me they were enough only for two people to stay. If you are someone who easily feels claustrophobic then this place is NOT for you.

The rooms are very small, only for you to sleep and keep your small luggage. The AC vent is adjustable so you can save yourself from freezing.

The kitchen area is again small and open to all.

This place is recommended but looking out for other options is recommended too.

Pros:

Only for solo travelers
Pros:

It’s good for solo travelers and those who travels for 2 or 3 days. Well for economic trip.
Entrance is not well as entering in a devastated staircase.
Friendly staff who speak English well despite the other Russians who don’t have any idea about English!

Pros:

The smallest room I have ever seen
Pros:

It is probably the cheapest way to stay in the wider center of Moscow, if you book in advance you may get price from 12 EUR/night. However, expect what you paid for. Extremely small is the word for Winterfell (not only on Kropotkinskaya). The rooms are extremely small, I dont believe they have their 6m2. Basically there is a bigger bed down (definitely not for 2 adults), a smaller bed up and a tiny corridor next to the wall and that is it. If you have claustrophobia, you would die here. For a solo traveller, you may put your luggage upstairs on the bed, but with two or even three people staying in that mini-room, you simply have no room to place it. Budget rooms do not have windows at all, the only ventilation is through a tiny hole in the ceiling, you do not feel the air
and cannot regulate it. The corridors are also supertiny, do not imagine what would happen in case of a fire. The shared bathrooms/toilets are in one area, 5 combined and 1 solo toilet only. In the late evening you may end up in a queue. Administrator asks you to leave your shoes at the front. There is a small common kitchen, with two fridges and a small eating area, while other people mess with you on the way out or to the bathroom area. The entrance is not signposted at all and you have to pass through an awful staircase to the second floor. Inside it is reasonably modern and very clean, administrators are nice. For a single budget traveller OK for the cheap price, but for a couple go somewhere else.

Worst ever hotel in my life
Pros:

This is the worst ever hotel in my life. Expedia should get rid of it in its search list so that other people will not get cheated in the future. Horrible entrance, horriable stairs, the room just has one bunker bed and then no space whatsoever, no restroom, no toilet. 30+ people share 5 public restrooms. People live like sarding fish and very noisy. Actually I only lived there for 1 night, then my friend and I went to a different hotel for next 3 nights. Not sure if I can get money back?

Terrible experience
Pros:

The rooms were so small you could barely stand once the door was closed. They gave us room number 2 which is next to the kitchen/reception/common area so it was so noisy we could barely get any sleep on the two nights we stayed. Hotel staff was rude, not helpful and seemed to be in a constant bad mood. The only positive thing was the location. Other than that I would definitely not recommend the hotel.

One night in a decorative prison!
Pros:

Finding the hostel was not the easiest since it was hiding in a bad smelling backyard. Finally inside the building you had to climb stairs which looked like they would break down any second which scared us a lot. The Hostel itself is really tidy and they put a lot of effort in decorating it suiting the name of the hostel with a lot of wall paintings. But just because it's pretty it's just not good. They tried to use every single mm of this place to make as much money as possible! The rooms are tiny!!! Someone with claustrophobia will die in them and even my friend who doesn't suffer from it got panic at night. The room is packed with one big bed which has a small bed attached on top and a tiny little way next to it, no space to walk or put your luggage at all! Also if you close the door at night you don't have any source for fresh air, since there is no window or similar things, which makes you feel like you are suffocating. According to their plan of keeping space they have around 40 rooms for each 3 people... the bathroom has 4 toilets and the kitchen 4 seats to fit all these 120 people. The hostel was not full when we were there but we still had to wait 20 minutes in the morning to go to toilet!!! In the end we had to leave our luggage there since we left in the evening of the day and they made us pay for it as well, not much but in my experience this service was always for free.

Awful
Pros:

Awful to say the least. Very hard to find down a dark alley. Stairs leading to entrance dark, musty and rusting with plaster falling off walls. Hardly room to move at reception counter as that was part of very small common area. Only seating for 6 people in an island bench set up. Room very very small. Our triple room was a bunk single on top double on bottom which was okay but not standard size beds length wise so no one able to stretch out. No room at all for bags not even under bed. Less than 1 meter between bed and wall. Shared bathrooms reasonably clean but no hot water. Administrator very nice and helpful and friendly but she could only work with what she had. A complete rip off price wise as it was not cheap

Super Lage, kleine Zimmer
Pros:
