Great location overlooking one of the canals, short walk to dining and attractions. Staff was awesome!
Very conveniently located. Within walking distance of major attractions. Best thing about the hotel is the host, Ronald. Forgive me if I have spelt your name incorrectly.

The location, breakfast options and helpfulness of the staff are excellent. Our room was tired and our bathroom had significant areas of black mold and needed considerable attention.
When I made the reservation to stay here, the reviews weren't bad, but in the two months leading up to my trip, there were reviews about bed bugs and the condition of the hotel. Our stay was non-refundable at that point, so we were extremely nervous about bed bugs. We thoroughly inspected our bed when we got there and saw signs of bed bug excrements on the mattress cover (see photo) but thankfully no actual bed bugs. We still slept on top of the sheets and duvet, and only opened our suitcases quickly. The building is older, which is fine, but the room just wasn't well maintained. See attached photos. The staff we dealt with were all very nice, but I would highly recommend staying elsewhere to not deal with the stress of bed bugs.
Owner was very friendly and helpful
The hotel is old and very very charming with an amazing view of the canal. However it was definitely not clean, very dusty and our toilet was not cleaned properly upon our arrival. I believe even an old space should be clean.
When we booked the room, we knew that we had booked a twin room. It was only when we arrived that we realised that the twin room was in fact bunk beds. Not exactly suitable for two older persons travelling. If it had not been our last night, we would have tried to find something else. The main area of concern though was the condition of the room - on entering you were met with an awful smell. We discovered that this was coming from the drain in the shower. Also the whole tap on the sink was loose and the toilet cistern and hardware cracked with paint peeling in the bathroom. The property needs some serious maintenance and updating. Looking at further reviews, we discovered that the property has had a problem with bed bugs too so not very conducive for a good nights sleep.
Overall, this property should be more accurately described as a hostel based on the room that we stayed in, rather than a three star hotel. The host was friendly and we gave him our feedback in the morning.
I booked a very small room with bunks beds. Inwas traveling solo, and on a budget. So, i have no issues with the size of the room, it was small. No air conditioning killed the whole thing. It's an old hotel, in a great location. The two guys working the desk were great. They actually got me a small fan to use, which saved my life when trying to sleep. Would i stay here again? In the winter, yes. In the summer, no.
Clean and cozy. Nice country boutique feel. Loved the canal view.
If you are looking for a great location with a view (the crooked houses are directly out the window across the canal), then this is your place. HOWEVER, the deferred maintenance on this place is overwhelming...worn carpet, sconces hardly hanging from the wall at bedside, rotten wood at the windows, hardware missing from worn out furniture... Let's just say that the pictures look much better than the actual accommodations we experienced. The manager on duty was friendly when he was there.
Hotel très bien placé dans le centre, accueil agréable
The property is in a great location but the smell was awful. It smelled like a sewer our entire stay and the room was incredibly cramped. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Good it experience was very acceptable.
Idea I might 👍
Great location, friendly & helpful staff. Hotel is very old, tired, very small dated rooms. No air conditioning, overhead light in bedroom was like a stadium floodlight alternative was 2 very small wall lights by the bed. The pictures posted on your site are very deceiving.
Very nice service and clean
the stars given are high because the next Amsterdam hotel was worse.
All very good thank you .
The situation was great .
For the price they could put some kleenex in the bathroom.
Great location, very comfortable bed. Clean, lots of charm with a great view.
