Property was completely different from pictures. Staff was polite but very manipulative. Dont ask for any renter options. They will
So i booked this for my parents. overall okay. My parents didnt have access to wife and it took alot of time for someone to help. I had to call the hotel for someone to go help as my parents cant speak urdu or english. Also, they dont have options to use a desktop and print some documents.
Cockroaches everywhere in my room and bathroom. Staff came in at midnight and sprayed chemicals which didn't really help but gave me a sore throat.
Slept for about 4 hours with the lights on to keep the bugs away as best I could.
Construction immediately outside of my window and the front of the property which was not disclosed.
Check-in and bell staff were very good.
Older manager had the nerve to ask us for a job because we are Americans.
The front staff were very friendly and helpful on check-in, the manager who spoke fluent english gave me his WhatsApp for any hrlp or inquiries i might need.
Straight after check-in i proceeded to order room service from Tabaq which is their in house restaurant. The biryani was delicious and i ordered repeatedly from there, the food for breakfast was also terrific.
The room itself is alright, great bed but an average bathroom and shower. Very spacious though with a couch and table tor eating at.
I would stay here again if in Islamabad, if only because of the extreme friendliness of the staff and the good location, being in Blue Area within a couple kilometers from Centaurus Mall
I had an amazing experience at this hotel, with the cleanliness and modern look of the hotel. The customer service was amazing. I am definitely going back. The area is great too
Had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. For the price it was good. The area is very easy reach of the highway to the airport, and if heading out of the city, also very easy to get to local malls and restaurants etc. we dined in the Tabaq restaurant a few times, food was very good and very big portions for the price paid.
The only issue was noise from outside and inside the hotel. The housekeeping office appears to be in the corridor and therefore everytime the phone rings, it’s like it’s ringing in the bedroom, and the phone rings all day and all night, you can hear every conversation from outside, and it’s uncomfortable for privacy as everyone outside can most likely here you from inside your room. I would stay here again, not on this floor or in this room though.
Just wanted to say that I stayed at the hotel for 3 days and it was a pleasure - a real hidden gem - the staff were great and catered for all your needs - the reception staff and Sibtain Raza made you feel at home - I would recommend a stay here - location great and metro is only a few mins away. Will return soon.
I would have to say the staff are what make this place. Amazing customer services from all. Especially the managers and reception staff so helpful and supportive. I stayed 11 days in total. The only suggested improvement which is really minor is the bathroom could be upgraded. The room was excellent with lots of space. Well done keep up the good work and see you soon.
No hot water
The room was modern and worth the price. We really enjoyed our stay in the hotel. The staff was very helpful and took care of our needs. I highly recommend this place.
The room was big, clean and compfortable. Breakfast was ok. The receptionist was nice. Overall it is a very good hotel for that price.
It was 3 night stay included fresh morning breakfast, free bottle of water and free airport shuttle service.
The room was very clean and comfortable. Receptionists Abid, Usman and all members of hotel were very polite, helpful. I have attached all pictures. Most of my family members and friends didn’t believe it was 3 start hotel because the service and hotel room was like 4 star.
I will highly recommended this hotel to stay in blue area because near by metro bus station to access everywhere easily.
Hotel location was good and staff were friendly, but some don’t understand English, the restaurant also was good and the food was delicious, however not as clean as expected and the shower had no hot water during day time and the Internet connection was not good at all...!
Gud to stay here....envoirnment is gud....staf is like a family....visted here with family...have lots of fun...food of here is gud...specially tht paratha ...treated there tht we were their family...missd tht place .
I stayed here not by my choice as it's the hotel chosen by my tour operator.
Ok this is Islamabad and I assume it's cheap but still the hotel is appaling. The location is quite good in blue area. There is metro bus station nearby so it's good base to explore the city. However, the condition of the room is pretty bad. The bathroom really needs major improvement. The hot water didn't work. Don't ask about whether it's clean or not. I didn't really complain as it was only one night stay.
If you can choose, try to find other hotels. Surely, there are better hotels in the area.
Very poor hotel. No fire alarm system and cleanliness is non existent. The hotel needs to improve on every level. The location is central in Islamabad. Food quality is also anither weak area. I wouldnt eat the food even if its free.
Two nights at the hotel - room is big, comfortable and quiet- bathroom ok
Free breakfast is the same Pakistani food elsewhere
Armed security guard at the front
nice mirror lobby
Easy to find and located near good currency exchange places
Food at the restaurant is good with huge portion ( another Pakistani characteristic)
internet slow but functioning- not inside the rooms so you have to go to the lobby
In July 2016 I was participating in a trekking tour to K2 Base Camp. The trip originated and ended in Islamabad. During one day stay before and 3 day stay after the expedition I stayed in Hotel de Papae. The hotel has an impressive, glass façade and mirrored lobby. However, that is all that is alright.
The hotel was booked by Baltistan Tours. Upon the return, the management of the hotel refused checking-in claiming that my visa was not valid. For about an hour I tried to explain that I had arranged the visa in Pakistani Consulate in Canada. They simply refused to listen. Baltistan Tours proposed an alternative hotel, which was worst that most of the hostels that I have seen, even in the most exotic places of the world. I was forced to travel an hour to a local visa office, wait another hour for a visa official to confirm that my visa was perfectly valid and travel back for another hour. Baltistan Tours was not helpful at all.
The hotel claims 3.5 star rating. It should be noted, that with exception of large international chains, all of the hotels in Islamabad are overrated by at least 2-3 stars. In my opinion Hotel de Papae does not qualify for a single star. The room was dirty, bathroom was filthy. The breakfast consisted of cereal, cold toasts, fired beans and cold omelet. There were no fruit or vegetables.
Contrary to the numerous claims by local people about safety, the hotel was guarded by a security guard armed with a shotgun. Islamabad is full or armed soldiers and security guards. We were even refused access to the King Fajsal Mosque, which was guarded by metal detectors and security guards with automatic machine guns.
This is a good hotel to stay at when in Islamabad as it maintains a high standard but because it is not an opulent looking five star hotel, it attracts less attention. The room was very comfortable and everything worked including the air conditioning and hot water in the shower. The food in the restaurant was excellent however they should consider having a separate lunch menu with smaller portions. Breakfast was buffer style with a good selection. Service was excellent and when I asked for a late checkout, my request was granted immediately.
Was quite disappointed with this hotel. Looked good online and from the the front. Rooms poor grotty would be a good word. Bathrooms old poorly maintained, leaking taps etc. Room big big old and tatty. AC weak and basically just not a comfortable or relaxing place to stay.
