L’hôtel est idéalement placé. Le personnel est au petits soins. Le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse devant une vue sublime est magnifique.

Der perfekte Platz für Matera!
Pros:

Die Lage ist für Matera perfekt: tolle Aussicht von der Terrasse auf die Stadt; und das schon beim Frühstück.
Frühstück ist extrem umfangreich , man kann von der Bistro Karte auswählen , was man und soviel man will. Selten so gefrühstückt, und das bei tollem Panorama. Unsere Höhlensuite war einfach super elegant und schön und ist sehr zum empfehlen, zumal man direkt davon eine Sitzecke hat, von der man Abends das Panorama des beleuchteten Matera geniessen kann.
Das ganze Team ist ausgesprochen freundlich; Christina hat uns alles erklärt , was man machen sollte und hat uns perfekte Tipps für das Abendessen gegeben.
Die Anreise mit dem Shuttle von P 4 lief einwandfrei - wie auch die Kommunikation mit dem Hotel vor der Ankunft.

Cons:

Da gibt es gar nichts, was hätte besser sein können.

Insgesamt ein wunderschönes Hotel mit einzigartigen Zimmern, tollem Service und traumhaftem Ausblick.
Pros:

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt und waren begeistert von unserem wunderschönen Cave-Zimmer. Das Zimmer war sehr großzügig geschnitten, stilvoll eingerichtet und etwas ganz Besonderes – wir waren von Anfang an fasziniert.

Besonders praktisch war auch die Parkgarage, die nur etwa 5 Minuten entfernt liegt. Mit den Koffern mussten wir nicht viele Treppen bewältigen, was in dieser Gegend ein großer Vorteil ist.

Das gesamte Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Außerdem hatten wir einen traumhaften Ausblick auf die Sassi, den wir jeden Tag genossen haben. Direkt neben dem Hotel befindet sich ein sehr gutes Restaurant. Als Hotelgäste erhält man dort 20 % Rabatt.

Cons:

Nicht-Hotelgäste können auch an den Zimmern vorbeilaufen. Einmal kam es vor dass fremde Personen auf unseren Terrassenmöbeln saßen

Mesmerizing
Pros:

Beautiful room in a cave. Good looking and high end materials make the room authentic and luxurious at the same time time. The location is great, in the sassi, with easy access to the car park (the instructions, including a video, shared by the hotel make it even more easy. Very friendly and supportive staff. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended!

An incredible location and view with wonderful staff and breakfast
Pros:

What an incredible location! The view from the terrace is probably the best we saw in Italy and having our (delightful) breakfast overlooking that view felt so special. The welcome from Cristina was very warm; she was a fantastic host and gave us lots of info and help. The staff generally were really responsive and easy to get hold of when you needed anything.

We stayed in one of the cave rooms and it was very impressive with all the amenities you'd want/need. There is a dehumidifier to lessen the obvious damp that comes with being in a cave and the air con keeps you nice and cool.
One thing we would note is that the bed on both nights felt quite damp and that effected our sleep quality. However, we didn't tell Cristina or the staff because we assumed we were just dealing with what is probably pretty much expected if you choose to sleep in a cave! Saying that, we haven't seen other reviews mention damp sheets so maybe this was out of the ordinary and something we should have flagged in retrospect.

Aside from that, the stay was wonderful and we loved our time in Matera - we would love to return. Thanks for everything, Cristina and co!

One more thing - if you have a rental car, I'd highly recommend taking the offer to park your car just outside Matera in a secure carpark and then use the transfer minivan to just outside the hotel - avoids too much sweaty walking with suitcases!

Cons:

The bed felt quite damp when we were going to sleep though we put that down to sleeping in a cave..!

Magnificent stay in Maginificent city

Pros:

Estar no coração de Matera, café da manhã excepcional, vista deslumbrante

Cons:

O acesso é difícil com malas, o estacionamento fica um pouco distante, mas é o preço a pagar que compensa. É um aviso, não uma crítica, se organize para descer com só uma mala. O estacionamento com transfer cobra por cada vez que você for retirar o carro, se for o caso melhor pagar o estacionamento coberto que tem próximo.

Pros:

This place was stunning! The staff, Nadia, upon check in, was fabulous. Our room was lovely, clean and very unique. The view was amazing. Breakfast overlooking town was breathtaking. The food was delicious and great options were offered.

Cons:

The beds (we had two twins) were very small.

Die Lage, der Charme, der Empfang von Cristina und die Ausstattung des Zimmers waren sehr gut. Die Aussicht atemberaubend und Service vom Restaurant Crialoss sehr freundlich.

Cons:

Leider hat es keinen Gepäckservice. Die Zimmer sind nur per Steintreppe erreichbar. Eine 4 Stern Unterkunft muss diesen Service anbieten. Cristina, die Rezeptionistin, hat uns freindlicherweise ihre Hilfe angeboten. Danke Cristina.

Prise en charge efficace à notre arrivée, avec un accueil personnalisé

Accueil chaleureux et en plus en français la veille de notre arrivée, nous avons reçu tous les renseignements nécessaires pour accéder facilement à notre hôtel. La chambre était très confortable et le Services impeccable. Le petit déjeuner était excellent.
