La ubicacion es muy buena, con excelentes vistas. La habitación muy amplia y espaciosa. Buena climatización.

Das Hotel hat eine perfekte Lage mit einer schönen Terrasse und einem unglaublich schönen Blick auf Matera. Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und sehr schön und sehr stilvoll eingerichtet,

Eigentlich nur der Fahrstuhl da er sehr klein und eng ist. Aber man muss ihn ja nicht benutzen,

Great location! Nice high class (without true sticker shock) hotel.
Pros:

Beautifully done hotel! First class breakfast! Wonderful staff! Great location for living/staying around the Sassi. They gave good directions in an impossible 3-D area!!! If you arrive late, I would suggest parking with the custom drop off so you don’t meander in the stairs.

I did not like anything. The owner was very rude. They lied in a text message that they had a Bar and Restaurant but did NOT tell us it was closed this season. Very bad experience!

Absolutely marvellous 🤩
Pros:

Absolutely everything about this hotel was wonderful. The owner and her team was marvellous. They made sure we were very well taken care of during our stay. Above and beyond, they explained to us so much about Sassi culture, heritage and historical events. They also guided us to places we should visit to understand Sassi living better.

Not to mention the view in front of our room, it was stunning both at night and in the day. Breakfast was also wonderful. Staff at the bistro ensured our breakfast needs were all fulfilled to their best ability.

Though it’s our first time to Matera and we happen to choose this hotel, we have absolutely no regrets and it was our luck to have gotten to enjoy such a beautiful hotel, met the wonderful team and we will only stay in this hotel when we next return. We had one of our best holidays ever.

Our best wishes to Antonella, Cristina and their team. Keep up the good work till we meet again!!

Pros:

Ubicación excepcional, con las mejores vistas hacia la Catedral de Matera. El transfer desde el estacionamiento nos pudo dejar a 50 metros del hotel, un lujo! Las habitaciones son únicas, increíbles, excavadas en la montaña. El desayuno se puede tomar en el balcón del salón desayunador con unas vistas bellísimas.

Cons:

Demasiada calefacción, y no se podía regular ya que era centralizada. Fue un poco agobiante dormir con tanto calor.

Great place to stay in the Sassi!
Pros:

Amazing place to stay in Matera! Super great communication leading up to our trip. The hotel set us up with parking out of town with a ride directly to the hotel, which is in the Sassi. Our cave room was fantastic. Breakfast was great. The hotel made us dinner reservations both evenings at great restaurants. Super central location to walk anywhere in the Sassi and to do the hike across the bridge to the caves.

Best hotel of our trip. Stunning in every way.
Pros:

During our recent extensive travels, we have stayed in some lovely accommodation, but we all agreed this hotel went straight to the top of the list. From the clear and helpful advance advice about parking (and the recommended shuttle to the hotel from the safe parking area), to the warm and Informative welcome from the wonderful Cristina, to the incredible rooms and mind blowing-view, this hotel could not be any better.
We occupied one cave ‘deluxe junior suite’ (with the most incredible bathroom), and a beautiful deluxe suite next to reception. They were both different and both exceptional, with extremely comfortable beds, great air conditioning, fantastic showers etc.
We loved hearing from Cristina about the history of the rooms and the hotel, and the history of Matera.
We enjoyed a drink on the Terrace before following Cristina’s recommendations for good dishes to eat in the Sassi for dinner. A comfortable sleep was followed by a truly delicious and varied breakfast.
I can’t speak highly enough of this hotel; our genuine regret was that we stayed only one night. Will definitely be back!

Cons:

Staying only one night. Matera deserves at least two nights.
