Pros:

Good location for swimming and activities. The staff are amazing. We were not happy with our room upon check in, it was brought to the attention of the 2 people at the front desk and the operations manager. They did all that they could to ensure that we were happy and comfortable. He even checked up on us during our stay which was much appreciated.

Cons:

Would rate it 3star. Place needs some maintenance.

Pros:

Hotel se nachází ve skvělé lokalitě. Kousek od obchůdků, restauraci a je hned na pláži. Opravdu hodně cením milý a přátelský personál, úžasný pan manažer, kterého jsem vždy ráda viděla!
Pokoj byl dobře vybavený, měla jsem zde vše potřebné. Postel byla maximálně pohodlná, spalo se mi úžasně. Každý den jsem si užila snídani s výhledem. U snídaně byl opravdu široký výběr jidla. Vyzkoušela jsem i restauraci a vše bylo chutné. Byla jsem zde spokojená!! slo vidět, že se personál dobře stará o chod celého hotelu, ať už ono čistotu pokoje, společných prostor a pláže s lehátky.

Cons:

Urcite by se dalo zapracovat na různých estetických detailech, ale to rozhodne nijak negativně neovlivnilo můj pohled na toto ubytování.

Персонал отеля и управляющий очень любезные и отзывчивые.
Но сам отель требует реконструкции: ремонта водоснабжения(слабый напор воды в душе), канализации( неприятный запах и старая сантехника) и перепланировки некоторых номеров (без балконов нет возможности сушить купальные принадлежности, это очень неудобно).
Завтраки на веранде с красивым видом, неплохо, но немного однообразно.
Понравилось меню ресторана на пляже: морепродукты, пиццы,супы. Но нет разнообразия фруктов и свежих соков.
Отдельный респект менеджеру по организации экскурсий Исмаилу!
Подберёт вам любой вариант тура и так же сориентирует по различным вопросам! Очень хорошо владеет русским языком и интересно преподносит информацию о своей стране и регионе!
Вцелом мы довольны выбором этого отеля, в отношении цена/качество и благодарим за гостеприимство!

I recently stayed at Sun Sea Bar Hotel & Resort in Zanzibar, and overall it was a good experience — mainly thanks to the amazing staff.

The location is beautiful, right by the ocean, with stunning sunsets and that relaxed Zanzibar vibe you come for. The beach area is peaceful and perfect for unwinding. Rooms are decent and comfortable, though not ultra-luxury — you can see some areas that could use a bit of refreshing and small maintenance improvements. Cleanliness was generally good.

Food and drinks were fine, but not exceptional. Breakfast had the basics covered, though a bit more variety would elevate the experience.

Now the highlight — the staff. Truly wonderful. Everyone was warm, kind, and genuinely attentive. You can feel they care and want guests to have a good time. From reception to restaurant team, the service made the biggest difference. They were always smiling, helpful, and accommodating.

If you’re looking for a relaxed beachfront stay with heartwarming service rather than high-end luxury perfection, this place delivers. With a few small upgrades, it could easily become even better.

Would return mainly because of the people. 🤍

Cons:

SunSeaBar Hotel is one I'd recommend skipping. Really wanted to enjoy our time here (and 'Al Pacino', who runs the hotel, is very kind and earnest), but it was challenging from start to finish. A few frustrations:

- Before the trip, we reached out to SunSeaBar Hotel to get a quote for a transfer from the Zanzibar airport. They replied it was $80, and we confirmed that we'd like to move forward...and then we never heard from them again.

- We booked a 'Sea View' room, based on the listing photos. The room we were given initially overlooked a construction site and you could baaarely see the ocean if you went to the edge of the balcony and craned your neck.

- The rooms are a far cry from 4-stars -- our initial room didn't have pillowcases until we requested them. The second room had a leaking toilet, a bathroom sink that didn't drain, and a shower with only scalding hot water.

I wouldn't recommend staying at SunSeaBar Hotel.

Vi är vana att resa, backpacka och har inte alltför höga krav men vi valde att boka ett annat boende nästa natt.
Pros:

Vi bodde där en natt och hade tänkt stanna längre. Vi valde att inte bo fler nätter. Läget är ok.

Cons:

Vi hade larver i badrummet och vatten rann ut från toaletten på golvet. Väldigt ofräscht boende. Frukosten var heller inte trevlig. Solstolarna var trasiga. Väldigt eftersatt var hela hotellet. Livligt och skrikigt på kvällen, lyhört.

Die Lage ist gut, da direkt am Strand gelegen.
Essen sehr gut .
Personal sehr freundlich.

Cons:

Zimmer sehr spartanisch und sehr laut in der Nacht. Ich würde maximal zwei Sterne vergeben.
