Pros:

Tutto molto bello. A iniziare dalla professionalità di tutto il personale (con Davide che merita una citazione a parte per il suo saper raccontarci Matera) e dalla colazione ottima e abbondante, per finire con la splendida e rilassante vista su Matera di cui abbiamo potuto godere dalla terrazza dell'albergo.

Cons:

La perfezione sarebbe stata raggiunta con la messa a disposizione di un posto auto gratuito, ma la soluzione del garage a pagamento nelle vicinanze dell'albergo risolve comunque il problema.

Pros:

Absolutely fantastic hotel, beautiful view, tasty breakfast, very kind staff, very short distance from the old town. Everything was just perfect. We ate dinner at the Soul Kitchen restaurant (very close to the hotel), which was recommended to us at the hotel. The food was very good and locally sourced. I highly recommend it.

A beautiful cave hotel steps away from the main piazza.

Outstanding terrace views of the Sassi , new town and valley
Central location with easy access to secure parking.
Serene and relaxing but only minutes from the main square, restaurants and viewpoints.
Staff very helpful and welcoming
The breakfast included many local specialties: focaccia, frittata di patate and pane di Matera.

Nuit au top face à la vieille ville.
Pros:

La gentillesse du personnel, l'emplacement avec une vue incroyable sur la vieille ville, le confort de la chambre, de la literie et des commodités. Le parking est de plus à 100 m ce qui est très pratique pour la ZTL.

Everything! Such a magical place and staff were wonderful. The budding novelist on reception was especially helpful and most welcoming. Breakfast is varied and ample and having it on the terrace means you enjoy Matera from morning til night!

Wonderful hotel and staff, incredible history dating back over 10,000 years.
Pros:

Incredible views of the city with wonderful service. Friendly staff who explained the history of the Sassi and his upbringing in the area, departure and return. Would definitely recommend it. Loved our room with cistern still intact.

Tolle Lage in Matera
Pros:

Perfekte Lage um Matera zu Fuss zu erkunden. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Betten waren ok und das Zimmer sehr geräumig und sauber.

Cons:

Feine Nasen könnten sich am Zimmergeruch stören, welcher als "modrig" empfunden werden könnte. Dies ist natürlich durch die Lage im Fels geschuldet und stellt somit keine Abwertung da. Auch die Lüftungen, welche die Temperatur und Luftfeuchte regulieren sind hörbar.

Everything was exactly as described. The view is the protagonis there, and the incredible team was a pleasant surprise. David was the kindest person we've met in a long time, sharing the history of Matera and making it even more special by showing how his own story intertwines with that of the place. Gave us the key places to visit (hike in the park, and the special attractions) and helped us having an unforgettable trip.
