Recently stayed at B4B Athens Signature Hotel for four nights in a 2-bedroom Lifestyle Suite with City Views (travelling with young adult daughter and hubby). Rooms are ok, but probably are not as good as they look in the photos on the website.
The bathroom and toilet are in the bedrooms, separated by glass doors. When travelling with family this does not offer a lot of privacy. The showers spray water everywhere so anything you take into shower area gets wet pretty quick. In one of the bedrooms the sink is just as you walk into the bedroom, not in the actual toilet, which we found weird, but worked ok in the end. The rooms are not overly spacious for two people with two suitcase so you have to plan where you will put cases, clothes etc so you can function in the room.
The biggest issue is that the hotel is on a pretty big intersection which is noisy and the windows etc do not lock out all of the traffic noise and sirens. This took a bit of getting used to. However, the location is excellent to walk to most of the attractions and historical sights. We walked everywhere and it was easy and not too far from the hotel location. A few good souvlaki/gyros and Greek bakeries close by and a laundromat. Car hire places (including Sixt) is in walking distance of the hotel too.
Brekkie is generous and we really enjoyed both this and eating in the roof top bar which was quiet and had a great view of the Parthenon after walking all over Athens each day. Service at the roof top bar was quick and friendly.
Special mention to the staff, who were truly kind and professional. From the very first moment, we were welcomed with a complimentary drink. The rooms were clean, the hotel was modern, and guests also had a smartphone available to take with them during their stay.
I was a bit disappointed with this hotel. Firstly the room we were given had a view of 4 air conditioning units. The shower and toilet don't have a filter no window. For 4 nights I expected better. The breakfast area is tiny with limited options. The rooftop terrace is about the only thing that makes it ok.
We stayed 4 nights at this hotel. It is centrally located close to most of the sights which were in walking distance. Across the road is a tram station which links to the Metro Station.
The staff were all friendly and helpful making sure your stay was as perfect as could be. Communication from the hotel prior to arriving was excellent!
The hotel was spotlessly clean and functional. Our room 403 overlooked the city. You could see the Pantheon if you looked to the right. The bed was a large double but the mattress was too hard. A topper could have made it more comfortable. The toilet and shower room were very narrow and a large person would struggle in them. Free slippers were a nice touch together with tea and coffee making facilities. Sink in the main room. Windows needed to be triple glazed as the noise from sirens going past woke you up several times a night. Air conditioning was excellent! A mobile phone was provided for your use during your stay… nice touch!
Breakfast buffet was well stocked with plenty of variety for everyone. Should be commended for the gluten free options made available. The roof bar and restaurant had stunning views of the Pantheon on top of the Acropolis. A good selection of food and drink options on the menu.
All in all a great stay. Thank you!
Absolutely wonderful! One of my best hotel experiences ever. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Arranged a taxi from the airport and helped us call a taxi to go to the port. The breakfast is delicious and has a huge variety! The room was clean, modern and comfortable. We loved the rooftop garden with a view of the Acropolis. One of the best things... A short walk to the Acropolis and cafes. We walked to many things while there. I highly recommend this hotel!
We booked this Hotel largely due to its location and reviews. After staying 2 nights there was much more to like. From the nice little roof top bar and small restaurant, which included a great view of the Parthenon; the extremely efficient and friendly staff; the magnificent included breakfast; did I mention the location; the unbelievable cleanliness; Thursday night rooftop entertainment; the price. The room we had was on the high end dorm room level, but very clean and functional. We had a great experience here.
Hotel has an attractive, airy lobby where a delicious buffet breakfast is served. It's a 20 min. walk to the lovely Plaka neighborhood from hotel. It has a rooftop bar/restaurant with a view at night of the illuminated Parthenon. Staff was helpful & friendly. Only negative is our room was not meant for people who might travel together, but don't get naked together. Like friends from work. There is no traditional bathroom - the sink is in the room, however the shower and toilet are each in separate areas. You can't really bring your clothes into the shower 'cause they'll get wet as there's really no place to put them while showering. Conundrum.
This hotel was perfect in every way for our 3 day visit to Athens before embarking upon a sailing cruise. The location near the Plakq meant that we could walk everywhere to explore the ancient treasures, dine in fabulous restaurants, and start each day with an included healthy, delicious and plentiful breakfast. The room was comfortable and impeccably clean and the staff were welcoming and helpful. We will definitely stay here when we return to this wonderful city.
Great hotel with an excellent location. Central to most popular attractions. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Gluten Free options for breakfast. Rooms were clean with all amenities that you could need. I highly recommend this hotel.
Great room but there was building work while we were there which was quite noisy. There was a leak in our room which staff dealt with quickly and they were friendly. Brilliant location
.
The rooftop was beautiful!
The hotel and staff are great. I definitely recommend. And walking of the major attractions.
Side note; the rooftop area is really nice. However, the food and drinks are not so great. Personally I would not recommend eating or drinking. But definitely enjoy the view from there.
The hotel is located close to a tram station and the closest subway station is a mere 7 minute walk away. The service is quick and friendly, the room we got is clean and modern, and the breakfast has variety and tasted great. Everyone is our group agreed that this hotel stay worthed every penny!
Excellent staff. Very helpful. Beautiful rooms. Comfy beds.
Stop your search! You found your hotel! It is safe, clean, large showers, and excellent service. Plus, the rooftop bar is perfect to round out your evening as you drink good drinks and marvel at the acropolis!
And get this… they give you a free phone to take with you in case you need GPS, internet, or to call. It’s about ten minutes from the main attractions. If I come back to Athens, I will absolutely be coming back here.
A nice boutique hotel with a fabulous roof top restaurant bar with a fabulous view .....and yes some roof tops too ! Clean, friendly with a quality breakfast. Our room wasn't huge But it was clean, efficient with a great walk in shower.
We missed the opportunity to expore the surrounding neighborhood but it looked worthy of a walkabout.
Close to everything we wanted to see
This hotel is conveniently located, its very clean and has a great service. I would like to emphasize that this hotel has superior service. We had somewhat large group of people and had many different requests, all our asked were meet and accommodated, especially Joanna, she was very professional and was supper helpful. Thank you all for making our short stay in Athens memorable
B4B exceeded my expectations. Room was small but very nice. Front desk staff and restaurant/bar staff were kind, friendly and exceptional. 4th floor view from window of Acropolis was very nice. When my legs and feet hurt from walking over 10 miles each day and I couldn’t go any further the rooftop bar and restaurant offered great, convenient tasty treats, meals and drinks. Breakfast was top notch and even a picky eater would enjoy all the extensive choices offered. A/C, WIFI, shower and fridge worked great! Close walk to both Acropolis and Syngrou Fix stops on the metro. The only negative I had was the toilet was in one small room and shower was in another small “wet” room, thus you could not change clothes in that part of the bathroom which might be awkward depending on who you are sharing a room with.
