Pros:

Sıcak, samimi, insana evi gibi hissettiren bir otel. Çalışanların yardımseverliği, otelin konumu, temizlik, lezzetli, geniş seçenekli ve sağlıklı kahvaltı her yönüyle harika.

Lovely city, lovely people, super pleasant welcome at the hotel.
Pros:

Excellent location, really helpful' super-friendlly staff at every level. I would just point out that it's not designed for anyone with a physical disability as there are a few steps to negotiate even to the lift, . It is minutes away from city centre and the seaside promenade.

Cons:

The lack of shelf space and some UHT milk for the coffee maker in the room would have been nice but a minor detail. Very nice hotel overall.

Ein Hotel, dass in allen Bereichen einfach TOP ist!
Pros:

Das ganze Ambiente und das Hotel sind einfach TOP. Das Hotelpersonal war äusserst hilfsbereit und kompetent, insbesondere das Personal an der Rezeption. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen, man half uns beim Umparkieren, des Mietwagens ohne Nachfrage, gab uns wertvolle Tipps zu Ausflügen und Restaurants in Thessaloniki und machte gleich die Reservation im Restaurant für den Abend. Ein scheinbar defekter Haarfön wurde innert 10 Minuten durch einen nagelnagelneuen Fön ersetzt. Die Lage des Hotels ist optimal - nahe zum Meer und zur Altstadt. Das Zimmer ist sehr geschmackvoll und stylisch eingerichtet. Das Frühstück auf der Rooftop-Terrasse ein Traum mit vielen Leckereien und Spezialitäten.

Cons:

Das Einzige (und wirklich einzige), was zu bemängeln wäre, ist, dass bei einem längeren Aufenthalt der Koffer nicht richtig ausgepackt werden kann, da ein Schrank und die nötigen Ablagen für Kleider fehlten (es war nur eine schöne Garderobe für Jacken und Schuhe vorhanden, was für T-Shirts,, Pullis etc. nicht ausreichte).

Fantastic Hotel in the heart of Thessaloniki!
Pros:

We absolutely loved our stay at The Modernist Thessaloniki! A beautiful boutique hotel combining modern design, comfort and an unbeatable central location.

The family room was fantastic, with separate bedrooms and bathrooms, giving everyone their own space and privacy. Such a brilliant setup when travelling with children and easily one of the best family room configurations we’ve stayed in.

The staff were exceptional throughout our stay. Their recommendations for restaurants, places to visit and things to do were absolutely spot on every single time! Their local knowledge and genuine hospitality really made a difference.

The location is perfect, with shops, restaurants, cafés and the city’s main attractions all within easy walking distance.

A wonderful hotel that gets so many things right. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Modernist, particularly to families, and will definitely stay again when we return to Thessaloniki!

Great hotel with fantastic staff
Pros:

The service was great. The personnel was very friendly and helpfull. It was so nice that I will recommend this place to all my friends. The location was perfect and people in the reception gave great advice about restaurants and place to visit according to my priorities.

Cons:

My stay was too short.

Very disappointing stay, poor soundproofing, uncomfortable conditions, and an overall lack of cleanliness and comfort.
Pros:

I liked the location and friendly staff. Vintage, dirty staircases.

Cons:

If you want to get a hostel at the price and standard of a four-star hotel, then this is the place for you.

We barely slept all night. The hotel has absolutely no soundproofing—you can hear literally everything, down to the smallest details. Every sound from the neighboring rooms and the hallway can be heard clearly in the room.

In addition, my wife and I constantly felt insects crawling on us during the night possibly gnats or ants. The mattress is placed directly on the floor, and there is no actual bed, so it is difficult to understand where the insects could have come from.

There was not even any water in the room when we arrived.

The building itself is old and appears to have been converted into a hotel. The floor tiles were dirty, the walls looked untidy, and the overall condition of the room and the property left much to be desired.

Unfortunately, our overall impression was extremely negative.
