It was located in countryside, close to the Chester park and ride. The rooms were spacious and ours was a triple room. The hotel was fully booked each night so we were lucky we had booked in advance. There was a big parking area and a beer garden
The hotel had recently changed hands and the new owners had a good Indian food menu, but beer suppliers had yet to be sorted and only one warm draft beer was available. Luckily the Cheshire Cat down the road a mile had everything!
Friendly staff, attractive decor, good wifi. Handy convenience store at the gas station next door.
We were there during a heat spell and our room was on the top floor so it was very warm and the provided fan was too small. We were also only given one bath towel and one mid size towel for the two of us. It was also in a very busy location on the side of a very busy road. The back garden was quite plain. I’m sure for people driving it would be good with plenty of free parking.
Staff was very friendly room was ok but could be better but a good service
All their environments is very comfortable by me
No
Value for money
Slippery tub and bed matress too soft
Servicepersonal, Sauberkeit, Essen, Zimmergröße, Frühstück
It was a nice, compact room that was clean and functional.
The shower was quite complicated to use
An excellent hotel.
The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. I had a good night’s sleep. There is extensive car-parking and good wi-fi. It was also very good value for money.
I shall rebook when I return to the area.
{Looking at comments below, I would add the following. Yes it is now a restaurant but that closes at 10pm so you are not disturbed by late night noisy customers.}
The room was clean, a lot of effort was put in to the finishings towels and toilet roll shaped in to shapes
Access from outside meaning you didn’t have to go through the restaurant.
Zero hot water pressure, it could be described as a weep.
The walls were paper thin, I could hear all conversations word for word in adjacent rooms.
Tv in adjacent room was mounted on the wall behind the headboard. Had to ask at 2am for this to be turned off as we couldn’t sleep. Then at 3am the couple on the other room had a very loud argument, of which we heard every single word.
For a rare night away without children I can honestly say it was the worst night sleep for a while
I booked this place because it’s just down the road from the park & ride into Chester city centre. It looks like a nice country house hotel from the photos, but when you get there, it’s actually an Indian restaurant that has accommodation above.
The hotel entrance is the restaurant entrance, with a small reception desk under the staircase. It’s right next door to a petrol station and the road it’s on is quite busy despite being a country road, as it’s a main route into Chester.
The room we stayed in was quite spacious, but carpeted with very thin, cheap carpet and although the room appeared clean, everything seemed very basic and low-budget. Having said that, the staff were friendly and it’s in a convenient location if you’re getting the park & ride into Chester. Just don’t be fooled by the photos and description. This is not a hotel as we know it.
The location was ideal for my needs. Clean, comfortable bed. Lovely, helpful staff. Ample parking
I thought the price of the room was expensive, given how small it was. The hotel is next to a very busy road, the traffic noise didn't disturb me, what did disturb me was the noise from people walking up and down the stairs (maybe carpet would help). The bedroom doors could do with soft close features, hearing them bang everytime someone came in and out wasn't the best. Lastly the lack of water pressure, it dribbles out the tap and you can just about get a shower.
A personal door opening welcome! Thank you. Truly excellent food at restaurant! Well beyond all other aspects…
