Love the place. Always search for the prices of this b&b first when I come to CHester. Very Stylish, well-managed and homely. I always hope I can get in
At a reasonable cost. On Sundays it is especially great value for money. Thank you for many lovely stays.
No shower instructions and I’ve mentioned this to the staff before
Excellent position. Ample parking. Easy access. V comfortable bed.
Minor point- could do with something to put things on in bathroom.
Bed was very comfortable, sheet bedding was soft and smooth crisp cooling to the skin I really enjoyed.
Shower temperature and water pressure, amazing. I liked the tea coffee bits and was surprised for a short stay and small hotel we actually had our room made up and toilet roll and towels replenished, really pleased with that.
Pleasant experience with all the staff, polite and helpful.
We wasn’t aware it’s part of the pub when booked, so it was convenient to grab food and we enjoyed it.
Property is right by the main road with very busy traffic, and being part of the pub we were worried it’ll be noisy, but surprisingly the building it self once the front door closed, the noise was reduced by 70%.
Even with the noise massively reduced, it is still a busy road for HGV during day and night. and every time a HGV drive passed we could feel the bed shaking. So this physical factor does prevent a more well rested stay.
I think the building it self was decent with blocking the sound off. How ever there was some very loud noises in the second morning, sound like pans and pots was throwing around so the man made noises woke us up
It’s not very ideal to having windows open for fresh air with the property being next to a farm, and smell is quite strong when you outside.
It was on the A41 I was heading to the midlands it was a convenient stopover.
Fantastic and friendly! Food was awesome!
Nice clean room super hot bath or shower food was great staff great
Nothing that stood out at all
The room was cosy, clean, and surprisingly spacious — very comfortable and absolutely spotless.
Breakfast wasn’t included in the price, but it was good value with tasty food and plenty of options to choose from. Dinner was also very enjoyable — well prepared and satisfying.
Overall, a comfortable and pleasant stay. Staff were very helpful
Nothing really - surprisingly good
Clean rooms, friendly staff
Do not stay here. We booked a dog friendly room for two nights but left after staying for one. The double room was extremely tiny with no windows that you could open. The carpet was filthy & the toilet seat was broken. The ceiling was covered in dust & cobwebs. The sink in the bathroom was so small that we could not fill up the kettle without flooding the floor. The ‘hotel’ is located adjacent to a very busy road with traffic passing all day & night. The room shakes with the HGVs passing. This ‘hotel’ is a motel that is only suited for drivers wanting to put their head down for the night. There was no place to store clothing other than hangers on a hat stand so as soon as you hung your coat up, it fell off with the weight. There are no other places to eat or drink so we ate in the bar/restaurant on the first evening which is more like somebody’s front room. A full English breakfast & a cup of tea is £15 each so we went into Chester for breakfast. The public toilets are next to the rooms so there is a constant slamming of doors. We expressed our opinions to the management via email but we were ignored. When we left early we mentioned the noise of the traffic & the manager chuckled.
