Struttura bellissima!!
The location was perfect. Jordaan is beautiful with so many cafes and restaurants. Everything is walkable.
There was no door on the bathroom which proved difficult as we were staying in a family room with our two teenage children. Toilet was separate. Lighting also poor.

The staff? Less than desirable; to be specific, the manager. Rude and impatient with my very very old parents. My parents checked in a night before I did, so I wasn't able to help them. Their English isn't great and they're super old. The staff checked them into what seems like an overflow room? You have to travel through the dining room, out the back, past a bunch of unused and stored tables and chairs, to a narrow staircase, to the room. The room itself had stairs going up and immediately hitting the bed. The bathroom was slightly off to the left of the top of the stairs, so that when you opened the bathroom door, it hit the bed, and you had to scoot around the door WITHOUT falling down the stairs. My parents were SO freaked that they would fall in the middle of night going to the bathroom that they kept the lights on all night. They asked the next day to move rooms, but the manager was being incredibly rude. By the time I got there, I was extremely disappointed that they put my parents in danger - and he completely denied any danger. It was wild to me. I'm not an unreasonable or rude person and if he had just apologized and made things right, this wouldn't have been an issue at all. Instead, it turned into a ton of back and forth.
On top of this issue, the breakfast every morning that we paid EXTRA for was always understaffed and short on items. We could barely get bread or eggs and we'd arrive with plenty of time before breakfast ended.
The rooms were old, TINY, and not cleaned so well (weird colors/marks on walls?) - and for the price we paid, I'm surprised they didn't have slippers or even lotions/gels!
I'm really disappointed in this hotel - would not recommend. The only redeeming quality is the location.

The location was perfect! So close to everything yet off of the busy street on a beautiful quiet side street. The hotel was beautiful and quaint. Well appointed and kept clean. The staff was very accommodating and although the room was small, it was well decorated and had everything we needed.
The Decor was fabulous and the art work and the security was spot on x

Hotel Mercier was a perfectly located, boutique hotel, with the loveliest staff. The atmosphere was everything I was looking for - calm, private, efficient and very quiet. My suite was beautiful.
Light, spacious and airy suite. Great central location and warm, friendly staff. Wonderful!
