Elia Hills Hotel

Closer to Nuwara Eliya town but overall facilities are way too poor. Broken showers, stained bed sheets and very dirty beds which had hair from previous people and so forth. There’s no 24x7 reception like they advertise but the person was reachable over the mobile. Only good thing was food was just fine on next day morning.

They didn't allow us to stay saying we don't have a booking and they did not subscribe to Orbitz. They said even they don't know the name Orbitz. We paid $120.00 through Orbitz and we need to find a way to get our money back for this trip.

I got a message that our room was ready and would be able to check in at 12pm. However, upon arrival around 1.30pm, to our amazement no one was there. The hotel was locked and closed (despite saying they have 24/7 front desk). Our driver tried calling 3 times without any luck, as well as the agent from our booking company. Onviously ended up staying at another hotel, but this is unacceptable.

A short Tuk Tuk ride from the town centre. Lovely building from the outside and very spacious inside, just a little too drab, could do with a spruce up, a it more colour and less brown. Despite this I had a pleasant short stay and was lucky enough to receive a courtesy pick up from the train in Nanu Oya about 6 km away, (this does not always happen). The owner was very helpful explaining to me which Tea Plantation to visit and how to get there, he even negotiated a good price with a tuk tuk driver for me to do the trip. Very comfortable bed and great pillows. There is no restaurant on site, this didn't bother me, just letting you know in case you expect breakfast. But the owner will point you in the right direction for a good coffee.

非常可怕及差勁的住宿經驗。房間與圖片不符，非常骯髒，充滿灰塵，標明為禁煙房，但充滿煙味，入住後周身都煙味充斥。員工也不友好，拒絕為客人搬行李，上2樓也不協助。並且沒有任何登記手續，非常危險，若發生事故，根本找不到住客名單。而員工不提供任何協助情況下，又居然會要求客人合照，非常無禮！旁邊房間超過8個小孩在大廳內追逐尖叫，父母亦加入玩樂，吵至深夜，我等直接要求對方安靜一點，也跟酒店投訴，也沒有人理會。
所以，這是我最糟糕的經歷，大家不必考慮入住，不安全不整潔，極嘈吵，早上只想快點離開！

This hotel was dark, dirty and dingy and well out of the way. The only saving grace was the hotel owner who made us a wonderful breakfast both days. The rooms were dirty, missing lots of light bulbs and with leaking showers. There aren't many mid-range options in town, but do yourself a favour and dont stay at this one. Not worth the price at all.

This hotel does not look anything like the pictures, please remove this hotel from your listings. I would like to get my money back. The hotel is run like some illegal business, the look a two the entrance and rooms seems fishy. Please remove this hotel, it needs to be shut down

Small family run hotel - on outskirts of town. Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. No lunch or dinners so have to eat out - need transport to get to town.

Abit far from town. Need at least 20 mins walk. Rooms are nice. No fan or airconditioning because Nuwara Eliya is cold generally.

Vi overnattede her ikke. Vi valgte at tage afsted med det samme. Billederne var på ingen måde tilsvarende det faktiske hotel.

PRO: COPMFORTABLE BEDS AND ROOMS AND VERY GOOD LOCATION

CONS: NO POWER BACKUP, VERY TOUGH DURING POWER CUTS, NO KITCHEN BRINGING BREAKFAST FROM OUTSIDE, SERVED VERY COLD PATHETIC FOOD.
