Very welcoming staff, lovely family owned property. Dinner was excellent and the place is run by a renowned chef. Really enjoyed it. We didn’t have the time to use the hot tub, it looked awesome.

The hosts were very welcoming, waited for us to arrive and made us feel like home.
The room was spacious with lovely views towards the fields. Very peaceful and quiet.
We loved the sauna, hot springs and cold plunge after a day's hiking.
The room had a lovely espresso machine which we used before breakfast as we are early risers. They also left us a lovely card and a gift- their own produced unamy sea salt. All these details made out stay really lovely and unique.

Nous avions choisi cette ferme pour une nuit pendant notre périple pour son calme et avons été plus que charmés par l’endroit, les bains chauds et le spa en pleine nature. Les chambres étaient spacieuses et décorées avec goût.
Le personnel est d’une gentillesse et d’une prévenance incroyable. Nous avons également eu la surprise d’apprendre que cet établissement était géré par un chef, et avons eu la chance de diner un repas excellent imaginé par ce dernier, cuit au four en pierre, avec des produits locaux et de saison. Une parenthèse enchantée que nous recommandons vivement !

The property is amazing; the staff are very friendly, and the spa is excellent. The water is hot and refreshing. The food we had was very delicious; I highly recommend having dinner at the property, and the breakfast was very good, with everything we needed in the morning. I particularly liked the black coffee because I don’t drink milk, and in some places, black coffee can be horrible, but this one was very good. The chef and all the staff are very helpful, and we received a gift on checkout—a salt made by the chef’s hand.

Najlepszy przystanek w naszej podróży! Wspaniały szef kuchni Volundarson, który zaserwował nam niezapomniane przeżycia kulinarne! Niesamowita atmosfera która tworzy Paula i Mario, oraz cudownie wyglądającą farma z sauna i gorącymi źródłami.. Zapamiętamy ten spędzony czas na całe życie!

Aurora Farm Hotel is a must stay in Northern Iceland. From the excellent location, comfortable rooms, hot springs and amazing food this hotel is worth the stop for a few days. We will be back.

The hotel has its own sauna and hot spring.
The location was incredible for northern lights. The owners were so lovely and accommodating, they gave us suggestions on locations to visit and when the northern lights were visible they knocked on our door so we wouldn’t miss them! Additionally the food was honestly amazing. Can’t recommend this place enough!!!
I normally don’t write reviews, but I felt compelled with Guesthouse Storu-Laugar. The attention to detail was amazing. This was the 4th place we were staying in Iceland (every night a different place because we were trying to cover all of Iceland in 6 days). I was pleasantly surprised when I didn’t find a mop because the floor of the shower and the floor of the bathroom were one and the same so, it would get wet. There was also a Heated Drying Rack in the bathroom. That day we had been in Mývatn Nature Baths, so we had to wash and dry our bathing suits (VERY convenient to have a place to dry them). They also have their own Geothermal Hot Spring (which we didn’t use) and they have bathrobes (in the room) in case you decide to use the Geothermal Hot Spring.
The breakfast was delicious with warm scrambled eggs and frankfurter, different types of bread, a toaster and many other things (I have to confess I only eat scrambled eggs and frankfurter on a toast and some fruits, so I don’t recall the other things that were there, but it was very complete). Usually when breakfast is free it is never this complete. It was not the most expensive hotel we went to (in Iceland), but by far, the best one.
Another plus, on a clear night at the end of October, you can see clearly the Northern Lights.
Everything was great, if I really have to write something that I didn't like is that at breakfast, there was no substitute for sugar for diabetics
