Hótel Húsavík

Love this stay, was cozy and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious!

We arrived for check in and given a very comfortable, clean but basic room. Parking was just outside. Only a minor downside, as you will be aware hotels are not good value for money in Iceland, but all the TVs were being upgraded so the current ones didn’t work. For £243 per night for a travel lodge type room, everything should be working. The staff member tried to turn it on even though she said they were all not functioning, which made no sense at all. The best part was the whale watching.

Room was spacious but curtains needed to be hung so could use, water in toilet brush holder was disgusting, cabinet under sink had water damage and tv had no signal so couldn’t use. Beds very comfy and generally clean. Breakfast good and staff attentive.

The Hotel was very convenient to downtown and Geosea. Our room was the first one in the hotel and next to the bar and it was still very quiet. Best part? The staff were great!!!

We enjoyed the room and property but be aware that the economy rooms have only a view of the roof next store and nothing else. We liked being next door to the Já Ding Dong bar and Eurovision exhibit, as well as the Apollo Astronaut monument across the street. Breakfast could have been more substantial.

Húsavík is a charming town and the service we received was excellent at the hotel, at the bar and when we went out to dinner. Bed was comfortable and the drinks at JaJa Ding Dong were creative and delicious. Laundry service was excellent and a plus halfway through our trip around Iceland. The room was small but cozy. Book the premium if you want an ocean view or the Mountain View room. Otherwise there is no view at all. Excellent stay overall :)

Perfect hotel in Húsavik! Great location within walking distance to restaurants and the downtown area. There is plenty of parking as well. Staff is friendly and kind. Room is clean and comfortable. There is a restaurant next door as well. Highly recommend! Thank you!

Front desk staff was very nice and hotel location was great. However room was by breakfast buffet and very noisy. Hard to sleep after 7am. Trash in room when we arrived. Stayed two nights and no one cleaned room while we were there.

This is a great place to stay! You have a wonderful view of the town and you’re literally next door to Yaya Ding Dong - a can’t miss museum, bar and resto! Hotel premises is clean, cozy and feels like home! Complimentary breakfast is great!

Hotel is conveniently located for whale watching tours and exploring Husavik. Nice breakfast included which is a plus in Iceland as food can be expensive.

Good free breakfast and wonderful room

Great hotel just a few minutes walk from Husavik harbour. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice size clean room. Good choice at breakfast. Very convenient for whale watching and exploring North Iceland.

he room was great, a decent size and clean, however it was next to reception. During the evening there was a lot of noise coming from reception, eventually I went out to ask them to quite it down and got the impression it was the receptionist friends who had popped in for a chat. People going to/from the bar had to walk passed our room and could see in if we had the curtains open, in addition we could hear the movements of the people staying in the room above.

The breakfast was the second worst on the trip, the high spot was the banana.

During our trip we stayed in 9 hotels, many of the hotels which we had paid a lot less were to a better standard and had much better breakfasts. Luckily we had only booked one nigh here.

Great Location! The owner came and talked to us about the Apollo astronaut monument across the street from the Hotel and shared a story about the astronaut's family that came back to Husavik.
