Well connected by Tram
In name of eco friendly hospitality half of the basic facilities are reduced or withdrawn. NIU brand should not practice eco friendliness at expense of charging €150-160 per night to customers. We live IHG but hated the NIU concept

leider kein kleiner Kühlschrank im Zimmer zur Lagerung von Medikamenten oder Schokolade-/ Getränken.
Don’t expect holiday inn standard. Although the staff are friendly and very helpful this hotel is not up to a holiday inn standard.
No fridge, kettle, very limited storage space (no drawers just a tiny amount of hanging space and 3 of us sharing in a family room).
The family room is very small so we all had to climb over 3 cases on the floor to move around the room. Noisy fan in bathroom which is very loud so would wake people up if using the bathroom at night. Can take card out if you don’t want air con etc.
Hotel in slightly run down/developing area although we found a fabulous local Austrian restaurant so went there on both our nights to eat called Mährischer Spatz 1925 on Ybbsstraße 25, 1020 Wien and around 20 minutes walk. Highly recommend.
We were disappointed staying here and I am an IHG member. We booked this on the understanding it would be a holiday inn standard (or very similar) so in a good area with a good standard. It’s a different hotel brand which has partnered with Holiday Inn so we found that misleading as it’s a lot lower and basic standard.
+ Breakfast ( a wide selection, good coffee, fresh fruit, etc. )
+ Sauna ( a fair price of 15 euro/person )
+ Staff ( especially Andrea - so kind and such a warm person )
+ Underground parking ( 20 euro/night )
- This is just a personal opinion—the rooms are quite basic and perhaps a little dated
- The room cannot be made completely dark because light comes in through the gap above the curtains
Uns hat der Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel sehr gut gefallen. Die Lage ist hervorragend und ideal für Familien. Das Personal war stets freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können das Hotel mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
Helles Hotel, nettes Personal
Teppichboden im Zimmer und den Gängen schon dreckig und es riecht im Zimmer nach Schweissfüssen* so als 1. Eindruck. Ansonsten sauber. Tisch fehlt
Location was chosen to be between parkrun and the city, and on the tram line. Which suited us perfectly. It is a little out of the inner city, but with the tram stop at the front door and a 24hour public transit pass it was perfect for getting to everywhere we wanted to go.
The rooms were comfortable and nicely styled with a cool vibe.
There was a fire alarm while we were there. Without a voice over to give clear instructions to evacuate, some guests seemed confused and straggled down well after the fire service had arrived. Which could turn into an issue if the fire had been a serious one instead of just some smoke from the kitchen tripping the alarm! Perhaps an upgrade to the process needs to be considered?

Nachdem ich gezwungen war dieses Hotel in einer Notfallsituation zu buchen und nachdem ich bereits in vielen Hotels übernachtet habe, war dies eine der bisher übelsten Erfahrungen in meinem Leben.
Am unangenehmsten empfand ich dabei den Umgang mit dem Hotelpersonal, so wurde mir am Abend meiner Anreise noch gleichgültig begegnet (was meine Bedenken, Fragen und die allgemeine zwischenmenschliche Freundlichkeit anging), am nächsten Morgen, durch die anscheinende Chefin der Rezeption aber sogar absolut unverschämt und in keinster Weise professionell oder entgegenkommend wie man das von einem Hotel dieser Kette eigentlich erwarten können sollte.
Zu den Zimmern: beim Betreten ist mir ein extremer Gestank entgegenkommen, der wohl durch den Abfluss, der nicht abgetrennten Dusche nach oben gestiegen ist. Da es zu dieser keine Tür gibt, liess sich daran auch nichts ändern. Austattung neben dem absolut notwendigen, bis auf einen Wasserkocher nicht vorhanden, was ja der Anzeige entspricht, was man in diesem Preissegment aber evtl. auch etwas anders erwarten hätte können. Der Fernseher ging aufgrund eines Internetproblems einfach gar nicht. Aussage vom Personal dazu, das wäre schon seit einigen Tagen im gesamten Hotel so und wird evtl. repariert, vielleicht aber auch nicht. Das allgemeine Internet war demnach ebenso instabil und ist mehrfach abgebrochen (ob durch das andere "temporäre" Problem verursacht oder Dauerzustand kann ich nicht beurteilen), vernünftiges arbeiten oder sonstiges auf jeden Fall nicht möglich.
Die Gegend hat auf mich ebenso nicht den sichersten Eindruck gemacht, wie auch das Klientel, dass sich teilweise in der Bar aufgehalten hat (evtl. Freunde des Barkeepers oder keine Ahnung, der Eindruck kann auch täuschen). Das einzig positive war eigentlich die Tram-Haltestelle vor dem Hotel, mit der man diese Örtlichkeit schnell und einfach verlassen kann. Wenn vermeidbar sollte man dieses Hotel aber garnicht erst aufsuchen.
