Ryan's Bay Hotel

We always choose this hotel whenever we stay in Mwanza, and it never disappoints. In our opinion, it is without a doubt the absolute best hotel in Mwanza city.
The entire property is very clean, and the rooms are lovely with very comfortable beds and air conditioning. One of the highlights is the wonderful view of Lake Victoria, which you can enjoy both from the room and the restaurant. Speaking of the restaurant, the food is excellent and dining there with a view of the lake is always a great experience.

The staff are very accommodating and helpful throughout every stay. We also appreciate the facilities; the swimming pool is clean and they now also have a brand new padel court. If you are visiting Mwanza, this is definitely the place to stay! Highly recommended.

Ryan’s Bay was recommended by our safari guide. Traveling very far from the USA, I wanted to be sure that our accommodation was satisfactory. I was little skeptical because our first choice looked better online. When we arrived we knew that we had made an excellent choice. The front desk attendant was friendly and welcoming. The grounds are beautiful! We loved our spacious, authentically situated room. The beautiful view of Lake Victoria from both our room and the outdoor dining area was perfect. The food and service was amazing!

I loved how quiet and safe the hotel felt—surrounded by beautiful nature, it was the perfect place to unwind. The breakfast room service was a highlight: delicious, fresh, and delivered right on time. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. My family especially enjoyed the clean, relaxing pool. Overall, a peaceful and memorable getaway.

The room was spacious and well-appointed. The breakfast was excellent, and the menu had many choices to choose from. The staff is what made me stay here, as this was the second time.

Just stayed for 1 night before catching my flight to Dar es Salaam and then onto Australia. There are so many things about Ryan’s Bay that make it my first choice in Mwanza. The staff are so kind and attentive, always asking if I need anything. The rates are reasonable, the room was very clean with an exceptionally comfy bed and an awesome shower (the 2 big ticks when I’m staying somewhere), the view of Lake Victoria overlooking the pool is super relaxing. No the food!! Last night I others roasted chicken in cashew curry sauce. It was awesome, a flavour I had never tried but I loved it and will definitely have it again when I return. Thank you to all the staff, really impressed again. I even got a sticker for their very own Safari tour company. Thank you all and see you again.

Clean and airy, rooms are nice and cleaned daily. In general the staff were polite, friendly and willing to help, there were exceptions but that can be anywhere and not a slur on the hotel itself. Nice swimming pool

Excellent oasis with lakefront views and beautiful wildlife.

Stunning views, good breakfast options and lovely to have a pool. Rooms were clean, good shower pressure and comfortable, large beds.
