Die Lage, die Zimmer, das Ambiente
Ich bin von unserem Aufenthalt in diesem sehr gut bewerteten Hotel ausgesprochen enttäuscht.
Für einen zweistündigen Reitausflug mit zwei Erwachsenen und zwei Kindern habe ich 440 Euro bezahlt. Die Buchung und Organisation erfolgten über das Hotel. Tatsächlich war die Reitzeit jedoch deutlich kürzer als die vereinbarten zwei Stunden – selbst wenn man die Pausen mit einrechnet.
Am darauffolgenden Tag haben wir eine zweistündige Quad-Tour mit zwei Quads gebucht. Bereits im Vorfeld habe ich dem Guide ausdrücklich gesagt, dass wir möglichst wenige Pausen machen möchten, da ich die Zeit gemeinsam mit meiner Frau und unseren Kindern beim Fahren genießen wollte.
Am Ende betrug die tatsächliche Fahrzeit gerade einmal 45 Minuten statt der gebuchten zwei Stunden! Auf meine Nachfrage, ob wir länger fahren könnten, antwortete der Guide ausdrücklich mit „Nein“. Erst nachdem ich mich erneut beim Chef beschwert hatte, hieß es plötzlich, dass eine längere Fahrt doch möglich gewesen wäre. Dieses widersprüchliche Verhalten ist für mich absolut unverständlich und inakzeptabel.
Hinzu kommt, dass im Essensbereich weiterhin sehr stark geraucht wird. Mir ist bewusst, dass Rauchen in der Türkei gesellschaftlich verbreiteter ist und teilweise anders gehandhabt wird. Für viele europäische Gäste, insbesondere Familien mit Kindern und Nichtraucher, ist es jedoch äußerst unangenehm, während des Essens ständig Zigarettenrauch ausgesetzt zu sein. Von einem Hotel mit einer derart guten Bewertung hätte ich hier deutlich mehr Rücksichtnahme erwartet.
Insgesamt entsteht bei mir der Eindruck, dass hier viel Geld für Leistungen verlangt wird, die anschließend nicht im vereinbarten Umfang erbracht werden. IFür mich grenzt das an Abzocke.
Besonders enttäuschend ist, dass all dies in einem Hotel passiert, das so hervorragend bewertet wird. Gerade deshalb waren unsere Erwartungen entsprechend hoch.

It was first trip to Cappadocia for our family, and it started by check-in to this hotel. Thanks to it, our journey started great! Perfect service, rooms are clean, beautiful and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and nice, always helped when we needed something. Also i would like to highlight the administrator separately, very kindly, hospitable and pleasant person. The restaurant on the territory of the hotel was good as well. Prices are affordable, food is very tasty and service at a high level. The waiter was very polite and respectful. The appearance of the hotel is a separate form of art! Room numbers exactly in a mountain, and a view is very beautiful. So this place is incredible and i want to say words of gratitude to this hotel and its staff. I definitely recommend this place to stay to everyone.
A very nice stay in this Cave hotel. Spacious room, quiet place and very friendly staffs especially the reception team, very professional and thoughtful. My wife and myself are frequent travellers experiencing high class services all around the world. But their service here from the reception team is just excellent. If breakfast can be changed more or less daily that would be perfect. Unfortunately having same set foods every morning for four nights is just not funny and unacceptable at all for this middle class ( between 3 1/2 & 4 Stars) hotel and for the rates we paid. For a short stay less than three nights is acceptable. For longer stay than 3 nights I would not recommend this hotel due to their breakfast. Otherwise it is an excellent hotel in terms of professionality and the hotel itself, nice surrounding and less crowded.
We've travelled a lot as a family and this was the best hotel experience we've ever had. Everything was perfect. Fantastic staff that felt like family. Extremely clean rooms. Amazing food. The hotel is very photogenic and every single corner is beautiful whether on photos or in real life. This is the first time a hotel exceeds the expectations! If I could give the hotel 11 out of 10, I would.
My wife and I stayed at the Seraphim Cave hotel in June 2026 and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is in the lovely little village of Mustafapasa in Cappadocia, and a short drive to all the major sights. The hotel itself is a beautiful jewel of a property. One could be forgiven for thinking they had woken up inside of a lovely dream because the property is so beautiful, serene, and peaceful. Our room was charming, well equipped, and clean. They have managed to take advantage of the ancient cave dwellings and add to them in such a way as to create a kind of mystical quality in the place, such that you don't want to leave. Its beautiful in the daylight but at dusk it becomes magical. The breakfast and food overall is quite good. All of the staff were helpful, accommodating, and kind. We want to mention Huseyin, who went out of his way to make us feel welcome when we arrived and throughout our stay, and helping us with so many things - he is a kind and thoughtful soul. We also want to thank Mustapha and Dila, who similarly made us feel cared for and comfortable. We didn't want to leave the Seraphim and hope to be back in Cappadocia, just to visit the Seraphim. I'm sorry for not remembering the names of the other staff because the are all great. Such a beautiful place and people.
The rooms were very nice, had everything you can think of. Very nice staff always asking if we need anything. The food was also very nice. The courtyard garden had very nice seating areas and views.

Location in the quiet town of Mustafapasa is ideal. It is historical, once Greek village. no noise or hustle of Goreme. great choices for restaurants too.
The staff welcomes you with a smile and the resident Golden Retriever, Maya a wagging tail. Everyone is friendly, helpful and there to be sure you have everything you need. The grounds are manicured and have an inviting atmosphere with caves. Our queen suite was very spacious, clean and QUIET! It was a pleasant experience to stay in the room with all the amenities. Breakfast was delicious. We ate in the enclosed outdoor area. You will not see balloons go overhead as this is not the direction they usually fly. Unfortunately, for us, the 3 days we were there the wind was too strong and we did not get to go up. However, the early morning we were canceled we took advantage of the lovely spa. We went swimming in the beautiful pool, relaxed in the sauna and finally used the hammam bath. We were refreshed and ready to see more fairy chimneys from the ground.
