Just a little gem
Pros:

bar and restaurant was just lovely, very spacious. modern. the deluxe room was a dream after our long journey from apple cross and i was a bit travel sick. The towels were huge and a lovely bath such a treat. Andrew was a tonic, very happy and so helpful. an asset to the Smithton.
There was ample parking.

Cons:

I cant complain about anything

Andy and the gang are just amazing, can’t recommend enough. Try the Lorne sausage if you can.
Pros:

At first look, it looks like a standard pub/hotel. There is a large dining/lounge area which is very clean and lit well.
The rooms are comfortable and clean. We had a smart tv in our double room with a full
Size kettle.
HOWEVER.
The staff.
Incredible. On our arrival we were met by Andy who warmly welcomed us. I asked him if they served square sausage for breakfast (a favourite of mine), sadly they only had link sausage available (we stayed 2 nights), but he would go to the local butchers and get some good Lorne sausage for us for our second breakfast.
“Yeah right” I thought.
The next morning Andy had indeed gone and bought square sausage for us. It was incredible. David the chef came out and chatted with us too to talk about the butcher they use for the sausage and black pudding.
I’ve got to say. This sort of service isn’t found very often.
For the service and friendliness of all the staff. 20 stars out of 10.

Cons:

Don’t judge a book by its cover. We’d go back in a heartbeat to see Andy and David.

Ausgangslage mit Auto okay ansonsten schwierig wo hinzukommen. Für 2-3 Nächte okay.
Pros:

Dqs mann abends nach unseren Ausflügen etwas trinken konnte. Parkplätze waren ausreichend vorhanden. Freundliches Personal.

Cons:

Zimmer im 3. Stock mit Sage und schreibe 8 Türen! Taxi nicht bestellbar (liegt vielleicht auch am Ort). Sehr kleine Betten. WC Spülung ging mal mal nicht.

The Smithton Hotel was perfect for our short trip to Inverness.
Pros:

Without writing a long winded review heres the bullit points.
The rooms were exceptionally clean.
All of the staff were fantastic and friendly.
The food was very good.

Cons:

If we had larger suitcases instead of short stay baggage then the narrow corridors night have been an issue.
