Very close to Inverness airport.
Premium room is spacious, very light and with a view of firth in background.

No lift to upper floors, though manager carried cases upstairs
Reception area necessarily close to the bar, for staff to share roles, so initial impression is a beer aroma.
Breakfast buffet adequate but unexciting.
No heating on in second half of September. Ok in tbe room but made ( beautifully spacious) bathroom uninviting.

One of the rooms with en suite bathroom had a big clear window with plain glass and no curtains or blind. Not very private after showering.

The Bathroom. Toilet was against the wall. No grab bar for the shower. The grab bar on the tub was a major trip hazard. No hooks in the bathroom.
Location slightly away from Inverness, but close to everything. Made for a quiet stay with easy parking.

Posizione ottima. Fuori città ma comodissima per raggiungere Inverness. Vicina a un Tesco, molto comodo. Camere pulite e con tutto il necessario. Staff molto cortese.

The staff were very helpful, kind and accommodating.. A towel warmer in the bath was very welcome.
The food was fresh, well prepared and tasty, served with a smile. I had both dinner and breakfast.

I was stuck in a flight cancellation drama and Inverness was booked full. It was either this pub or a £750 castle room.
The twin beds were very unsupportive and need to be replaced. The room and furnishings were very basic and in need of some upgrades - the springs that jumped against my back all night were annoying.
As its rooms over a pub, the disco beat carried on until 11:00 pm. The walls are thin and I heard my neighbors.
The door to the room was off-level with a gap to the floor. As a traveler from US, I didn’t understand the shower operation - it had a switch outside the room and some sort of hot water box inside the shower itself. I wasn’t sure if I understood the directions so I skipped it.

This is quite a basic hotel however the room was clean and passable. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and served one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time.

Schimmel in der Dusche, kaum Wasserdruck, dreckiger Kissenbezug (wurde jedoch direkt ohne Probleme ausgetauscht)
bar and restaurant was just lovely, very spacious. modern. the deluxe room was a dream after our long journey from apple cross and i was a bit travel sick. The towels were huge and a lovely bath such a treat. Andrew was a tonic, very happy and so helpful. an asset to the Smithton.
There was ample parking.
