Sparse, uncomfortable room with a filthy ceiling
Pros:

The view is great and the architecture is interesting.

Cons:

I was really disappointed in the room. While the architecture is neat, the very large room just comes across as empty. The bed was okay, but every other piece of furniture (couch, desk chair) seems designed to be as uncomfortable as possible. The ceiling was incredibly filthy; it was covered in dust, and some black stains that I really hope weren't mold. In one of the sinks, the cold water didn't work. The shower had a hand-held shower head and one attached to the ceiling, and the latter just sprayed water in every direction except down, making it unusable. The staff was friendly, but didn't speak much English, which is unusual for hotel staff. I was okay since I speak some Japanese but if you don't I can imagine this would make things difficult.

Pros:

It was classy and spacious and had a great view

Cons:

It was a little out of the way if you didn’t drive and the shuttle doesn’t run late so you have to take a taxi back

非日常の空間での滞在
Pros:

５０代後半女子３人旅で利用しました。長崎駅からのシャトルバスもあり助かった。
ホテルでは、スタッフさんの気配りもよく、安心できた。お部屋までも、カートで送迎してもらったり、写真も撮ってくださったり、対応が優しかった。
お部屋も、眺めも良く３人でゆっくりできました。
食事も、長崎県産の食材を使っていて、美味しくいただきました。
食後には、プールサイドのラウンジで、夜景を見ながら、ゆっくりアルコール、ソフトドリンクを頂く事ができました。
朝食も、4種から選べるタイプでよかった。また、アラカルトを別に注文できて、朝から贅沢な食事ができました。
ゆっくり、非日常な空間と時間を過ごす事ができました。ありがとうございました。職場の若いスタッフにもオススメしたいと思います。

Pros:

ロビーに入った瞬間爽やかなディフューザーの香りがしてチェックインの時点からとても癒されました

ウェルカムドリンクや建物間移動のカート送迎などのおもてなしも特別感があって良かったです

お部屋は50㎡程ありとても広くスタイリッシュなデザインでゆったりと過ごすことができました

インフィニティープールやクラブラウンジなどの利用もできて丘の上にホテルが位置しているので夜景など眺望も良かったです

Cons:

洗面台でドライヤーを使用した際天井から大量に埃が降ってきました
見上げると壁や天井に沢山埃が付いていてせっかくラグジュアリーをコンセプトとしたホテルなのに掃除の面がとても残念でした

カーテンを開けてベランダに出ると下にはお墓が広がっていた点も残念でした

If it weren’t for the architectural design I would’ve regretted paying this much.
Pros:

The layout of the hotel buildings scattered on a (albeit very steep) hillside gave it a generous appearance.
The architecture of the entire complex is rather striking and a great plus for those who look for top notch contemporary Japanese architecture (after all, it’s a work of Kengo Kuma).
Dinner and breakfast were rather average.

Cons:

Some corners of my room have seen better days.
The steep slope can be quite slippery and isn’t ideal for people with a mobility handicap .
The location is beautiful but remote from the lively city atmosphere. Last shuttle was around 7pm (but Uber works).
Staff is friendly and helpful but their English skills are amazingly low for a hotel of this price bracket. When calling from the station to get information about the shuttle bus the person in charge of phone calls wasn’t able to understand or form even a simple sentence in English.
