Overall I would say a good stay but problems above could use improvement. My impression of Tröll.is is less favorable gi
Pros:

Great location near Vik and major attractions in the southern part of ring road. That’s the biggest draw. Modern facilities. Breakfast was simple but very good and lots of items to choose from.

Cons:

Management doesn’t read messages regularly and accommodate requests. We are a family and was split up despite request for both rooms together. Some issues including shower not draining, maintenance didn’t show up. Heater way too hot. Both times a nice overnight supervisor came to fix. No room turnovee except upon request. Well we requested to a staff and he didnt really do anything excepr bring small bath towels. Lots of flies came in to the room as we opened window, due to uncomfortable heat.

Pros:

Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Zentrums. Man kann das Zentrum sehr gut zu Fuß erreichen. Das Frühstücksangebot ist reichhaltig. Der kostenfreie Parkplatz am Hotel ist sehr praktisch und nicht selbstverständlich in Reykjavik.

El ascensor no cierra si te apoyas o estás en contacto con la pared lo cual complica un poco el meter las maletas Lo advierten pero estaría bien que lo cambiasen

Nice enough room with sewage smell.
Pros:

Good room, comfortable beds. Breakfast looked OK (we didn't eat). Reception made a taxi reservation for us.

Cons:

Shower drain wouldn't hold water in trap causing the bathroom to smell like sewerage. We couldn't swap rooms. Fixed the problem for the night by laying wet towel over the drain (and keeping it wet). :(
