Pretty dirty and bad ac but good area for backpackers

It is a budget friendly property. Feels kind of like a hostel with private rooms. But the place is very traditional with hanging plants and lots of old hard wood fixtures. The staff are very friendly

A really pleasant place to stay. The owner and staff are really friendly, the decor is beautiful, plus it has a big swimming pool.
We arrived really early and got checked in early as there was a free room. There’s free coffee in the lobby plus you can get organized trips easily. The bed was a little hard for me but everything else was really amazing, all at a cheap price.

good value, nice folks

We arrived on the 04:00am train from Bangkok, they allowed us to check in at midday instead of 2pm. The room was a nice size, but in 6 days my room was never cleaned once. The pool was chilly but clean and a nice size - great for a swim to cool off. The receptionist were really friendly. The hotel is in a fantastic location, with plenty to see and do just within walking distance. The bathroom was a wet room, so everything gets soaked, but overall, for a budget hotel with a pool it was fine. I would stay again. Don’t expect luxury at these prices, no problems for us.

The location is excellent for me. The local people are extremely friendly, helpful and informative. If music is your love, you can walk 10 metres up the road to the local pub (Thai One On) and listen and converse with both local people and people from every part of the world. You are not far from the Blues Bar or walking distance from the Jazz Bar. The staff at the hotel are very helpful and understanding (especially the night security staff). It is not a five-star hotel, but it is in a five-star location and you are not paying five-star prices

Don’t stay there not worth it! Bad night sleep. Bed was hard. Toilet was not clean

Rooms in lower price range are a little run down and do not match photos on the website. First room I was given had a tiny (broken) TV. when I asked to swap it and they were unable I managed to negotiate a move to a room with the advertised 32'' TV.
Area around the pool is limited and the pool itself could do with a thorough cleaning.. I did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the catering..
There are better hotels close by for similar price ~ I chose this one for the pool but would not return..

We love SK, the rooms are spacious, the linen is good quality, staff friendly and at a budget price.

Our room had everything we needed, including well-functioning air conditioning. The pool looked nice and the location of the hotel was ideal - many yummy breakfast spots and restaurants right next door, laundry services 30 seconds away, and a 15 minute walk to the night bazaar. The hotel picked us up from the airport free of charge, which we appreciated. However, the woman at the travel and tour information desk was incredibly rude and unhelpful. She was unwilling to answer any of our questions and when we politely asked if she could call to book a dinner cruise for us, she told us to go to the Internet cafe down the road. When we went, we discovered it was closed. We returned and the woman refused to make a simple call for us, despite being on her phone watching YouTube and the desk phone being right beside her. She hardly looked up from her video to speak to us. We were appalled. Furthermore, we were never greeted by the desk staff when we entered the hotel. We felt that they could not care less. Finally, the morning of our departure, we were horrified by a cockroach that was running around our room.
