The best general part of this hotel was my room which was bright, spacious, and modern with a big windows. Also appealing were the views from the rooftop pool and gym and an efficient front desk. The aforementioned room, though, was oddly designed with the sink literally across the hallway from the bathroom/washing area and a lack of dressers. Executive lounge was very nice in terms of brightness, layout, and # of users. Food selections at breakfast and reception were rather unimpressive (though I appreciate efforts made to accommodate food allergies) and while no one wants to see food waste the recycling of breakfast foods for reception foods could have been done more creatively. Areas for improvement generally and in the executive lounge both include staff proactivity and warmth. As for the room, some real mugs (for tea and water) in addition to the espresso cups would have been nice.

Aamiaisella olisin kaivannut vähän runsaampaa tuoremehu ja hedelmävalikoimaa.
I recently stayed at Hilton Taipei Sinban and overall enjoyed my stay. However, after checkout I received an email from the hotel stating that a glass water bottle and coffee spoon were missing from my room and asking me to confirm their whereabouts.
While I understand that hotels need to account for their property, I was disappointed by the way the inquiry was handled. As a paying guest, I felt uncomfortable being contacted regarding missing items without any evidence or explanation of what investigation had been conducted before reaching out to me.
I have no knowledge of the missing items and left the hotel with only my personal belongings. I would have appreciated a more neutral and professional approach, such as explaining the circumstances and confirming the room inventory process before implying guest involvement.
I hope the hotel reviews its procedures for handling such situations, as respectful communication is an important part of the guest experience.
Unfortunately, my experience did not meet my expectations.
The check-in experience was disappointing. The front office staff appeared unfriendly, and some facial expressions made me feel unwelcome as a guest. There was no warm greeting, hotel introduction, or explanation of the facilities and services available.
Although we were checking in as a family with luggage, no assistance was offered. The staff did not provide information about the breakfast venue and operating hours, directions to our room, or any other useful details about the hotel. The interaction felt very transactional—payment was taken, the room key was handed over, and that was it.
Another disappointing experience occurred when I inquired about breakfast for an additional guest. I asked the breakfast manager at Market Flavor Restaurant about the process, and I was told to go to the Front Office to make the payment. When I went to the Front Office ready to settle the bill, Terry from the Front Office informed me that I needed to return to the restaurant and make the payment there instead.
As a guest, this back-and-forth was frustrating and felt like a waste of time. I would have expected better communication and coordination between departments, especially for a simple request such as paying for an additional breakfast.
For a hotel carrying the Hilton name, I expected a much higher standard of hospitality, guest engagement, service, and interdepartmental communication. Unfortunately, my experience fell well short of those expectations.
