Everything you need is within walking distance of the hotel including transportation, food, bars and shopping. The hotel was very tidy, had great facilities and catered to all our needs.
The room decor was a little cold and lighting within the room needed to be brighter, especially around the bathroom. Downstairs bar could also have some more comfortable chairs.
We checked in at 530pm to have a drink and meet friends at the rooftop bar to be told it was closed for a wedding. You should know this when you book as it’s what sold us to stay there this bar. Very disappointed.
Contemporary
The hotel is a bit high tech, even cooler than I expected. The rooms are stunning and loved the in room soaking tub. Staff was very courteous and helpful.
location was fantastic
-this hotel has the most impractical design. The rooms have an open bathroom, where there is a single sliding glass door shared between the toilet and the shower. That means whoever you stay with will hear all the noises coming from the bathroom, same for the shower - the water spills everywhere.
-the design is very polarizing looks like a nightclub, which is quite tiring especially in early morning when you walk through a black-walled narrow corridor with mirrors and LED lights.
- the swimming pool is tiny, its IMPOSSIBLE to find the changing rooms (which are hidden in the toilets within the gym), whilst we were there a maintenance guy was cleaning the pool with no top on and wearing jeans.... his socks and sneakers were left in the middle of the floor. It was quite disgusting.
- breakfast is the most frustrating. no variety every day the same thing, coffees take forever, eggs your way take forever.... bowls of yoghurts but no small bowls to actually put that yoghurt in... overall bizarre.

We loved the location & the size of the rooms.
It feels a little stuck in the 90’s with the decor.
This was our second visit to this hotel which is so comfortable, luxurious and ideally placed. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Auckland.

It was Easter but no sign of the holiday season,got different answers on our question by reception and missing the ambience most the hotels have in the city

Jeune was the most amazing and outstanding employee not just of the hotel but in all my travels, and I travel a lot. Our stay would not have been amazing without her. Because of her I put this hotel from 10/10 to 12/10. We had a small issue but she worked so hard to help us, we are so grateful.
The hotel exceeded my expectations by far, this place is a dream land from the rooms being artfully decorated and clean to every single stuff member who showed us genuine kindness.
To anyone on the fence about spending a little extra for a hotel, just do it, you will not be disappointed at all. I don't think this hotel gets enough credit for their remarkable and memorable experience 🤙🏽♥️ Mahalos from Hawaii!
