Kensington Hotel

An interesting place. Good location. Eat at Weatherspoons.

First impression was bad, broken tiles on entrance, tired and shabby decoration, unfortunately this got worse. The room was very tired and basically should not have been on sale. One “damp towel” was provided for two guests. The sheets displayed yellow stains and the mattress had springs poking through, there was also damp on the bedroom walls. The bathroom was a joke, the sink tap would not turn off unless you forced it down. I can honestly say that this has been the worst room I,ve been provided with ever! It goes without saying that I checked out within 10 minutes. I explained the issues to the manager, she did not seem in the slightest concerned and just said that she would not be charging the company I booked with for the night, which is incorrect as they did charge the company. Horrible experience,stay well away from here.....☹️

The hotel is very tired and fell way below 6.8/10 and was a little expensive for what we got.
The hotel receptionist was friendly, but we were given 2 old sad towels - a hand towel and very small bath towel, no others in room. We decided not to use the shower - black mould all around the fittings.
Not all the lightbulbs worked in the room.
The bed was comfortable and we slept well.
It was just about adequate for a nights stay with early morning rise, but I would not recommend for anything else.

I arrived at stated check in time, 3pm but there was a note with a phone number to contact. Someone arrived and showed me to the room. Was deceiving in size, larger than we thought. The bedding was very clean and so was bathroom. Everything was in the middle of work. Delapitated furniture with throws over, duct tape covering holes in the
walls, shoddy paint work etc However if you aren't that bothered then the beds were comfortable, thd room had decent wifi and were a good size.

When entering hotel there was smell of airfreshners to mask smells. The banisters were sticky and everywhere just needed a good clean. There was no breakfast due to renovations in the kitchen and dining area. Sounds as though they are snowed under and inexperienced but i am sure things will improve.

Staff didn't know if my room was paid for so just as well we are honest. No one to check you out either.

Woukd stay there again if I'm honest but it was cheap and location was good for Rhyl

The hotel has a lot of potential... the staff just need to make it more professional.

Cleaning and the view from the location. The reception was good . The location near the town centre and across the road from the holiday play area is a great advantage. The property was also very peaceful and there was no issues with the amenities.

We loved everything about the place we was on the second floor you could see the sun set in the evening BEAutiful views

Hotel and room needs to be updated with fittings and fixtures

A bit dated but the price was good value. Everything was clean & tidy too so no complaints here.

Great wee hotel Rachel was amazing

my stay was pleasant enough just one discomfort the radiators were only look warm. I did use the portable one which helped,. that's my only comment otherwise very good value .I would stay again

There was a leak in the first room we were put into so we were upgraded to a bigger room. There was too many stairs to go up with my baby and buggy and all the things he needed

Wasn't impressed overall, the only thing that was clean was the beds, looked straight from 1990s, window in the bedroom wouldn't shut so seagulls kept me awake pretty much all night, staff were friendly but unfortunately I couldn't reccomend this place unless you are really desperate.

Friendly and helpful owner was very accommodating. Room basic but clean and value for money as price was good.
