Pros:

We loved t room, and how centra it is to t town. The food was very good & staff were exceptionally helpful in every way. House keeping manager Joanne was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her.

Cons:

No northern stations on TV,,but we will b back.

Not to a 4* standard
Pros:

The hotel is in decent location. The Receptionist was pleasant and helpful.

Cons:

We requested a quiet room but we were given a low level front room towards the high street. Thankfully it was mid-week and therefore the noise from the various nearby bars was not too bad.
Breakfast was a plated-up version expected in a B&B not a hotel that claims to be 4*. However, the saving grace was that the food was of a decent quality.

Very poor that I was not offered a room change

The first night the music and loud noise from people screaming and bad singing went on till we'll after midnight,,when I asked for a room change I was told all the rooms will be the same and there are ear plugs in the bedside cabinet,,the second night there was a teen party 2.20 am when the noise stopped...3rd night well after midnight again

Room to improve
Pros:

Staff at reception, bar, accommodation very nice. Amazing welcome. Reception looks very modern. Rooms are just ok. Need a lot of renovations. Nice location, easy parking.

Cons:

Unfortunately the room needs to be updated 😕
Breakfast wasnt good at all. We waited 1h for our breakfast and it wasn't even what it said on the menu. Staff at breakfast need training. And continental breakfast very poor.

Accessible room was assigned without being requested or mentioned at check-in. The main issue was the shower, which flooded into the bedroom even though the shower curtain was fully drawn, creating an obvious trip and slip hazard. What was most disappointing was the hotel’s response, which appeared to blame the guest by suggesting the shower head was pointed away from the drain rather than accepting any responsibility. Greater checks, maintenance, and accountability are clearly needed instead of shifting blame onto guests for what is ultimately a hotel safety issue.
