Pros:

Location, and breakfast. The lady at the reception was nice.

Good location and very kind staff, but the bed bug issue made it hard to feel comfortable.

Location, staff very friendly, helpful. They have parking and the breakfast is ok.

Cons:

stayed at Villa Arte in Ohrid, and unfortunately, on the first night I found bed bugs in the bed—specifically four large ones between the sheets and mattress. One of them was smaller, and when I killed it (thinking it was just a small insect), it was full of blood.

We immediately informed reception, and they moved us to another room. They assured us it was better, although all we really wanted was simply a room without bed bugs. What was most concerning was that they mentioned the original room would be cleaned the next day for a new guest. I am not an expert, but this raises serious concerns about hygiene standards when bed bugs have been found.

That said, the staff handled the situation very well. They were kind and helpful at all times, gave us restaurant recommendations, and assisted us with arranging a taxi. The property also has a good location and offers parking.

However, once you experience something like this, it becomes very difficult to feel comfortable and sleep peacefully—especially not knowing whether the problem might exist elsewhere in the hotel. For us, this is a significant hygiene concern, and rooms should be thoroughly checked before being offered to guests.

Pros:

Everything went well, reception staff and breakfast chief lady very nice and polite. Rooms are Ok and hot with under floor heating ( March 20, 2026). What is only missing to be real 4* hotel is some details such as having dish washing machine in breakfast kitchen (not washing by hand), breakfast from 7.30 till 9.30h is too short.
