Big beautiful clean room.

The property was at an ideal location, just a short walk from the main port. The local bus service “Astybus” made moving around a breeze. The owner offered to pick us up and also offered to bring our luggage to the port at the time of departure.
Everything was perfect.
Amazing room with an excellent view of the sea. Very clean and big. The staff was very kind and friendly. We look forward to going back :)
We liked that we could cook a simple meal. The supermarket a short walk down the road was the saving grace for this location.
Furniture placement in the room made it awkward to move about with a single bed taking up valuable space. We put some clothing under the mattress at the bottom of the bed to cover the corners of the ridiculously wide bed frame after we both hit our shins twice and kicked our toes. Have to walk around the bottom of the bed to access the balcony and the desk opposite makes this a narrow passage. Bed is too low to the floor and the white padded bedhead has yellow staining. Mattress very hard resulting in hip and back pain and the pillows are poor quality. Read reviews before booking and cleanliness was mentioned many times, our room was not the cleanest - had to clean cooking utensils and cutlery before using, plates were greasy. Poor lighting in the kitchen, no teaspoons, no tea. There is a mouldy smell under the kitchen sink and the cupboard above. The tap and cupboard handles greasy and grimy. Shower needs bleaching - pink scum around the door and broken light fixture over the bathroom sink. Noisy location on the main road to the airport with loud motorbikes all day and night. Guests next door very loud on the balcony around 3am first night and were asked to tone it down. We could hear chairs ? being dragged across the floor next door and upstairs. There is a down pipe (4-5 inch diameter) in the room that you can hear water rushing through loudly from upstairs...really? Aircon has a plastic pipe that has drainage (water) spilling out onto the balcony making wet and slippery tiles, we had to mop it up with the bath mat to get to the clothes line - dangerous! Aircon is very loud so could not use at night and had to keep the balcony doors open. The stairs are a drawback if you have sizeable luggage. We had no check-in just a lady that spoke that no English, handed me a key and that was it. I read in reviews that people were picked up at the port and returned - we were not offered this assistance (only two taxis on the island). Was happy to leave
Πολύ ωραία τοποθεσία με πάρκινγκ για το αυτοκίνητο και θέα στη θάλασσα ενώ δεν λείπει μια μικρή «ιδιωτική» παραλία. Η οικοδέσποινα η κυρία Ρούλα ήταν πάρα πολύ εξυπηρετική και φιλική!
The apartment was in a perfect position for us. Whilst it is out of town, there are tavernas and a supermarket very close. Just below the apartment is a great cove with pebble beach. Inside the apartment is very comfortable and the owners make you very welcome, leaving a sweet treat each day. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Highly recommended.
Το δωματιο ηταν υπεροχο με ολες τις ανεσεις. Η φιλοξενια απο την οικοδεσποινα ηταν αριστη, καθως μας εκανε να νιωθουμε σαν στο σπιτι μας. Μας εδωσε κι χρησιμες οδηγιες για το νησι. Το δωματιο πολυ καθαρο και ομορφο καθως και με υπεροχη θεα στη παραλια κατω απο τα δωματια. Ειμαστε πολυ ικανοποιημενοι και θα το ξανα προτιμησουμε οπωσδηποτε.
Ottima struttura sotto tutti i punti di vista. Abbiamo avuto il monolocale 1, in posizione laterale rispetto al corpo centrale, quindi vista sul mare di sbieco ma comunque un bell'affaccio. Monolocale ampio, ben arredato e pulitissimo. Accoglienza calorosa con dolci locali tutti i giorni e acqua in frigo. Pulizia effettuata tutti i giorni con cambio asciugamani e lenzuola ogni due. Bel terrazzo abitabile e fresco. Situato in zona silenziosa subito fuori dal porto a distanza camminabile, la salita è molto meno ripida di quanto sembri se fatta in macchina. Market e Parcheggio gratuito a pochi passi. Consigliatissimo!

The hosts are really welcoming, heart-warming and helpful. We were picked up and also brought back to the port (and got help with our luggage) on our departure day. We were getting very helpful tips about which beach we should visit according to wind and weather forecast. Apart from the above, we received little homemade treats of local products everyday.
The rooms were very clean. Next to the rooms there was a nice little beach for a morning dive (2min. walk). The rooms had a sea/beach view, which was amazing. The perfect getaway!
The rooms were very quiet and only 10min walk to town. The biggest supermarket of the island was round the corner.
We would definitely recommend Votsalo! The overall experience of our stay was very good!
The view and the location were exceptional. The room was very clean and the staff was lovely and very helpful.
We had nothing to complain about .
