Dostupnost ke sjezdovce super. Personál velmi milý, jídlo vynikající.

De ligging aan de piste was perfect! Faciliteiten waren goed. Goede bereikbaarheid met de bus. Vriendelijk personeel in restaurant. Spraken goed Engels! Hygiene was perfect! Ski locks beneden waren perfect. Kortom onwijs fijn!

Die Lage ist wirklich super. Der Skiverleih ist direkt mit dran, auch sehr gut. Die Sauna, sowie der Pool waren wirklich fantastisch. Kann ich nur empfehlen für einen Skiurlaub.

Good ski in ski out location and also at the end of the no.71 skibus. We organized our own transfers (Bus 260 from Salzburg airport (2 hrs, 15 euros each), train IR723 back to Salzburg train station (1.5 hrs, free as you get a mobile travel pass in Salzburg for your stay)). Food excellent. Great international breakfast & high quality dinner. Impressed with the quality of service. Very friendly & efficient staff. Room was very continental, 2 soft pushed-together single beds and a bit basic, but clean as expected.

This was our second stay at VAYA Zell am See, and once again it couldn’t have been better. As a family who comes back to Schmittenhöhe every year for snowboarding trips, consistency really matters to us – and VAYA delivered again.

The staff are genuinely warm and attentive. Reception were always friendly and helpful, and in the restaurant we were looked after wonderfully by Marius, who even remembered us from last year – such a lovely personal touch that made us feel very welcome.

Our Grand Deluxe room with a front-facing balcony was modern, spacious, and very comfortable. The beds were excellent after long days on the mountain, and the shower was fantastic – exactly what you need after riding Panorama and the Schmittenhöhe slopes. Having your own table reserved for the whole stay is also a brilliant idea and makes dinners very relaxed.

The ski lockers are great, and the location is perfect – just metres from the three lifts that take you straight to Panorama or up to the top of Schmittenhöhe. For snowboarders like us, that convenience is priceless.

The only small suggestion would be to consider adding a simple children’s buffet. Our daughter is sometimes a bit fussy, and with only one plated option per day for kids it was occasionally hard to find something she liked. A small buffet with basics would make an already fantastic stay even better for families.

Overall, we loved our stay again and will happily return next season.

The staff were always nice, everywhere was clean and proper, the view of the mountains and the ski slope was awesome.

The hotel is in an excellent location for the slopes, easy walk / ski to 2 main lifts and avoids the really busy lift in Zell am See itself (especially during half term). Unfortunately the ski in / ski out blue was closed when we were there but still a red and 2 blacks accessible. We went with a package that meant collecting ski gear from town (doh!) so make sure you get it from the collection actually in the hotel, where there are excellent ski lockers and easy access. Bus into town or to Kaprun included in ski pass but unfortunately does not run at night, so taxi required back to hotel if night out in town. That said, hotel bar is pretty cool albeit not as lively as Zell am See itself! Hotel pool is good though you get the usual crowd of kids post skiing - I did go in half term - and sauna / steam room welcome 16+ though daughter was shocked that some use it nude 😂 cleaning of room during our stay was not very good but restaurant for half board was great with good service. If you coach to Zell am See you will need a taxi up to the hotel as coaches not able to make it, though this was included in our package. It’s not too end but has everything you could want - deluxe room had double bed and double sofa bed which was actually excellent and as good as the main bed. Massage lady was also excellent for sports massage post skiing day (needs booking).

We had lots of snow though were warned that the season in Zell am See (2000m) no longer lasts till Easter though Kaprun (3000m) does. Slopes are kind as they are wide and long. Kaprun lovely skiing with loads of snow but took 2 hours from hotel to slope as the queues were so long. Saturday coach back to Salzburg airport (with its separate terminal for Brits with nothing in it!) took 3 hours rather than 1.5, so be warned and factor in delays if going at busy times.

Overall a fantastic week that exceeded expectations!
