Fantastisk personal och mycket fin hotel med bra läge. Frukostbuffén samt kvällsbuffén var enastående! Välstädat och fräscht.
The pool was nice.
The light in our hallway wasn't working. Took 2 days to fix after asking multiple times.. Breakfast wasn't what we expected for a 5 star hotel.
Excellent, clean spacious room on 8th floor with mountain /town view.
Breakfast choice superb.
Only disappointment was the ‘private beach’ wasn’t set up - too early in season due to the weather, advised not to swim in the sea as cold.
Location good few mins walk from excellent restaurants.
Spa and pools good fun.
The hotel and rooms were extremely clean. Staff were extremely attentive, friendly and helpful(we recieved lots of chocolates). The housekeeping service is perfect and everyday they tidy up the rooms. The hotels breakfast and dinner buffet is amazing. They've got a large variety of food. Fresh produce. Amazing facilities.
Rien.
The staff were exceptional, nothing was ever too much to ask. We were really unorganised with our travel plans, thinking that it would be easy to get a bus to our location from the airport, the front desk immediately organised a taxi for our transfer that was with us within 20 minutes. They were really friendly and attentive.
The options for breakfast weren't entirely to our taste, but this was so minor. I can't really complain about only having pancakes for breakfast every day. The A La Carte menu was unbelievable, especially the salmon bucatini, highly recommend.
The hotel was brilliant, it rained one day we were there but this didn't matter as the facilities allowed us to use the indoor pool have food, play cards in the bar, have a spa treatment. Not limiting at all.
The location is ideal for a 2 minute walk onto the promenade, where you can find the beach and all the restaurants. Budva is a short bus ride, where you can explore the Old Town. Lake Skadar is a 30 minute taxi ride, to quite possibly the most beautiful lakes I have ever seen.
The rooms were clean, comfy beds, large rooms and bathroom. Balcony with the seaview was great, we watched a thunderstorm over the sea one night, played cards on the balcony, ordered room service and had dinner watching the sea. It was just wonderful.
The evening buffet wasn't to our taste (purely a personal thing) but this was so minor and we hadn't booked dinner as we like to go out to restaurants and explore the cuisine, which there is plenty of. The hotels A la carte menu also made up for this in abundance.
Sve je savršeno.
We recently stayed here and loved it. The hotel is beautiful, modern, and exceptionally clean and ran by an extremely professional and helpful staff. We are couple in our 30s but there were tourists and families of all ages in the town and hotel. We felt very safe being here.
Ideal Location & Getting Around
The hotel is perfectly situated just a 5-minute walk from the beach, restaurants, and bars. There are several shops nearby, and public transport is incredibly convenient.
Heading North (Budva/Gardino): There is a bus stop right behind the hotel (opposite the supermarket). Tickets to Budva are €3.50 each way.
Heading South (Bar/Stari Bar): You can catch the pink bus from the station located directly in front of the hotel.
Modern Accommodations & Room Tips
The rooms feature contemporary decor, and the bathrooms are huge and modern, complete with a heated towel rack (perfect for drying swimwear). Rooms are cleaned daily and have a mini bar.
Quick Tip: Tea and coffee refreshments aren't automatically replenished daily, so just ask reception or grab extra tea from breakfast.
The View: As with much of Montenegro, partially completed buildings are common. To guarantee a beautiful view, we highly recommend upgrading to a mountain or sea view. We stayed during the low season, requested an upgrade, and were generously given a room on the 8th floor for free!
Exploring Petrovac: Things to Do & See
Petrovac is a charming small town - you can walk the entire length of the coast in about 10 minutes. There are around 15–20 restaurants serving fresh, high quality food with good service. The bars are low key and classy - you won't find any karaoke or themed nights here. A two-course evening meal with two glasses of wine averaged around €45 per night.
For local sightseeing, there is a small viewing platform at the fort, a history museum, and a small Roman mosaics.
If you want to explore further, there are two beautiful and accessible walks:
The South Trail: A paved pathway through the trees leading to two less developed beaches. It features one quiet cafe/bar a walk with beautiful scenery. It takes 30–45 minutes at a leisurely pace and has a slight, manageable incline.
The North Trail (Health Trail): The walk along the cliff top goes through tunnels and leads to a tiny seaside village with a massive, abandoned complex. If you take the steep 30 minute walk up past the complex to the main road, you’ll reach a beautiful, free-to-enter church and viewing platform.
From the monastery bus stop, we recommend taking the bus one stop north to Gardino Restaurant. It offers stunning coastline views toward Budva and wonderful food.
To explore further a field - rent a car!
Large, organized excursions aren't very popular here yet, and the road infrastructure isn't quite built for massive tour buses. Renting a car is safe, easy, and allows you to see so much more.
The hotel arranged a rental car for us for €55 for the day. We drove to Skadar Lake for a boat tour, visited the Horseshoe Bend viewpoint (a total must see with a great restaurant), and visited Stari Bar. We did this entire day trip for under €125 including lunch and the boat trip whereas a single pre-booked tour to Skadar alone would have cost €120!
Food & Amenities
Breakfast had a fantastic, fresh selection of hot and continental options, with fresh omelets made to order.
We chose to eat out on the promenade each evening, but the hotel restaurant looked lovely with beautifully set tables and professional waitstaff. The hotel bar features live, local singers in the evening if you enjoy that style of entertainment.
Pool, Spa & Intelligent Hotel Rules
Both the indoor and outdoor pools are lovely. While poolside sunbeds are somewhat limited, there is an terrace on floor 0 with extra space just next to the indoor pool. During peak season, the hotel also owns a private section of the beach with sunbeds. The gym and saunas are well maintained and the hotel provide a towel cards which you can exchange daily for fresh pool/beach towels. Spa treatments are very reasonably priced (around £50 for a massage).
The hotel enforces a few house rules that might initially seem restrictive, but they actually elevate the entire 5-star experience:
Dress Code: Swimwear is not permitted in the public indoor areas (a rule shared by the seafront bars and restaurants). This keeps the atmosphere clean and elegant. Ladies just need a quick cover up and men just need a t-shirt.
Room Policy: Food and drinks aren't permitted in the rooms. This ensures the accommodations stay immaculately fresh, prevents food stains, and guarantees you won't be disturbed by loud balcony parties.
These thoughtful touches maintain a classy, peaceful atmosphere. We had a wonderful stay and the extra cost for the luxury was great value!
