A convenient location with a large car park and a very pretty pub garden. All the team were super friendly and very welcoming. Spacious public areas and a well cooked and generous evening meal. I booked a single room, which was well laid out and ideal for an overnight stay. The room was very clean and had a large bathroom. Excellent value for money.
There was nothing to dislike. I did mean to report that the sink was slow to drain but this is a minor maintenance issue.
Very smartly turned out, friendly and helpful staff. Lovely room, nice and clean and well equipped. Beautiful garden with lots of shade. Very reasonably priced.
Only thing we didn’t enjoy was the gravel car park but only because it’s a bit of a hazard for us motorcyclists.

I had booked here because of location and very reasonable price for a single room for nights. The room was better than anticipated. It was across the car park in a separate annex so away from the bar and restaurant which could have been very important if there had been an England Match on the Saturday night or a wedding going on. The garden was a great place for a meeting with a friend. My meal choice was simple after a ling drive and a meeting and with golf the next day. It was a tasty meal and the chef very kindly cooked it right at the end of his shift so that I had all the time I needed for my meeting. Breakfast on the Sunday morning before golf was spot on and very well presented with first class ingredients. Most importantly the team both Saturday evening and Sunday morning (including Amy) were great. Enthusiastic to learn more when I spoke about my wine choice and just so on the ball and friendly without being anything other than very much professional. And tgen, wgen I managed to leave a personal possesion behind on the Monday morning they spotted my error, got in touch and sorted it's posting given that I live 4 plus hours drive to the south! "Beyond expectations by some distance" would encapsulate my experience - and all at a very reasonable price!!
Only one thought whuch was about tge room namely that on the Sunday evening as the restaurant and bar closed relatively early after they had concluded Sunday Lunches a comfy chair in my otherwise excellent single room would have further enhanced the experience. But I realise that soft furnishings in a single room would add to expense both by way of initial provision and thereaftet cleaning time etc. And there may have been such an item pre covid that had to be removed and hasn't reappeared.
I went for an event. The event space was clean and well set out. We were also able to use the outside gardens, which are extensive and beautiful. The hotel room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast eggs were lovely.
I purchased a bacon and egg sandwich, which came with one slice of toast? The bacon unfortunately was like cardboard. Though did offer to change it but I was past that by then, to be honest the chefshould of never let it leave rhe kitcken in that stste.. Also be aware (unlike me) there is also a service charge added) the waitress did offer to take it off but I declined. You have to pay for breakfast at time of eating.

We stayed at the hotel as we were attending a concert at Anfield. Very close to Hooton station so could get train to and from Liverpool. Hotel very clean. Staff lovely.
