Хороший ресторан, не очень хороший Отель
Pros:

Номера сильно отличаются между собой, звукоизоляции практически нет. Уборки номеров за 4 ночи не проводилась. Однако хочу поблагодарить ресторан, хорошее обслуживание и вкусная еда.

Pros:

I booked a room overlooking Lake Baikal & I wasn't disappointed ! The view was superb. These room itself was pretty small but that's ok, since it would be easier to keep warm. However, the heating in the room was inadequate it was quite chilly in the room, even with the radiator cranked up to 5.
The bed was comfy with warm duvets, which somewhat compensated for the lack of adequate heating.
The hotel is located by the main road to Listvyanka village. Listvyanka is a picturesque village at the south west end of Lake Baikal......
It's about 3-3.5km from the hotel to the village center & along the way there are several interesting museums, cafes, restaurants & of course the lake itself.

Stunning view trumps small issues
Pros:

The Legenda Baikal offers fantastic value for money. We had 2 nights there and found it very comfortable, thanks to a very spacious room and huge bathroom. The view on to Baikal Lake is superb. The faux-Versace decor is not really to our taste and there are aspects of the hotel that need renovation, but none of this is serious. The wifi is erratic and sometimes the hot water was on the tepid side, but our room was always warm and cosy. The breakfast buffet is generous, although everything quickly becomes cold as no flames were lit under the bain-maries. All these are tiny issues when one considers the very reasonable price for its spectacular location.

Pros:

On Expedia I purchased two superior twin rooms with balcony and views of the lake. When I arrived we were shown to two standard double rooms in the back of the building. We were there with three kids so this was unacceptable. I showed the reservation on Expedia and we given one standard room with a balcony and lake view, and one room with no balcony or view, just slightly larger. The hotel blamed Expedia. We would have left except I'm in Russia with a 3 and 2 year-old and it's winter. I will not be using Expedia again to reserve hotels, and perhaps not flights either.
