Pros:

Erstklassiges Hotel mit Appartements. Wir hatten ein Appartement gemietet, das 2 Häuser neben dem Hotel liegt. Das Frühstück und Abendessen waren hervorragend. Sehr freundliches Personal und eine schöne Saunalandschaft. Sehr praktisch ist der morgendliche Brötchenservice, den man als Selbstversorger buchen kann. Zur Seilbahn und zum Langlaufzentrum kann man laufen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Pros:

Sehr schöne Appartements, sauber, liebevoll eingerichtet! Man wird auf eine besonders schöne Art Willkommen geheißen. Wir waren mit Kleinkind dort (1 Jahr alt) und hatten alles was wir brauchten. Sehr schöne Gegend mit vielen möglichen Aktivitäten, Wanderwege, die auch mit Kinderwagen gut zu gehen sind.
Das gesamte Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und immer sehr freundlich.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden bestimmt jedes Jahr wieder kommen.

An excellent family run hotel in a beautiful location.
Pros:

The rooms were very clean and spacious with lots of amenities including spa towels, spare rucksack and walking sticks for anyone hiking the local national park. It’s a very comfortable room and we had a double aspect and balcony which was lovely to admire the view of the mountains. The staff were exceptional in making our stay with them the best it could be. The food is exceptional and I highly encourage booking half board as you will not regret it. The breakfast is varied for all diets and the quality of ingredients is extremely good. If staying for dinner you will get a menu at breakfast for dinner with 4 choices of main dinner. The choice of buffet starter is delicious and then there is always a soup choice too. I absolutely loved the soups such as tomato consommé. Then the main dinners and desserts are excellent, I honestly cannot speak highly enough about how great the restaurant is, the creativity of the dishes, flavours and presentation are exceptional. Dishes such as the dessert of lingonberry pancakes with sour ice and local wild blueberries had us talking how delicious it was several times the next day!

Then other thoughtful touches like a daily MorganPost newsletter giving weather predictions, hiking routes and things to do as well as offers from the spa were really appreciated.

Overall I would highly recommend staying at this lovely hotel. The quality of everything from the amenities, the cleanliness, the staff and restaurant are excellent. We had to leave to get our flight before breakfast started and this came up just by chance in a conversation and we were immediately invited to the restaurant thirty minutes early so as not to miss out on breakfast before our journey. You would not get this from a big chain of hotels and shows just how much guests are valued at the Sonnerhof.

Convenience and friendly staff
Pros:

We loved the convenience of the apartment rooms when traveling with kids. The kitchen was well stocked and a baby crib was brought for us and our small daughter. The rooms were clean and comfortable and staff very friendly. There was also a washing machine and dryer which was really useful after a long trip and on the balcony there is a clothes wire line that runs along to dry the clothes. We enjoyed the breakfasts and the staff were accommodating with extra requests ( eg pancakes for the kids ). Also worth noting the lady who checked us in was brilliant and helped us a lot - even sending us an email of a list of all the playgrounds and attractions for kids nearby. Thank you!
