we were made welcome with a smile and very good greeting.
breakfast was hot i would like a pot of tea in the morning.
The hotel was lovely ....very clean, lovely friendly staff, breakfast very good 👍
I went into my stay with meh expectations after reading some of the reviews, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were welcomed by a warm sense of coziness, cleanliness and genuine hospitality. The hotel is incredibly charming, with a lovely touch of nostalgia that makes it feel special rather than outdated. My room was spacious, super clean and had the most comfortable bed I experienced during my entire trip to Ireland.
The staff were kind and welcoming, with a special shout out to the woman at the front desk and the fellow who stayed late at the bar.
I really hope I’ll have the chance to return one day to lovely Buncrana and the delightful Lake of Shadows Hotel.
Breakfast was excellent. great value for money.
Everything was just perfect.
Good location
Breakfast was tasteless
Hospitality and comfort.
Nothing
Breakfast was very enjoyable and accommodated my gluten free request. There was a fabulous selection of food, either continental or cooked. The room was a comfortable size with tea facilities. The hotel is in a great location , within easy walking distance to the main street with popular bars and excellent restaurants. I would be more than happy to stay again.
Would have liked water in the room.
Great check in. Lovely room. And great food.
Nothing
Good location, close to Main Street and shore front.
I had 2 rooms booked for 2 adults and 2 kids, I would’ve thought we’d get rooms beside each other. Was told at checkin that as the hotel was very busy they couldn’t place us in rooms alongside each other but I had made this booking months ago so can’t understand why the rooms were so far apart. Our stay was for our 25th wedding anniversary and our total group had taken 7 rooms with others in the group having rooms beside each other so what reception said was untrue. I also asked for an early checkin or if there would be a room we could leave bags in and that I could change into my dress as I needed to be at the 25th venue before 4pm and check in wasn’t until 3.30. I was told I could pay extra for early checkin and no offer was made to store bags. Very disappointing customer service.
Room was tiny and bathroom could’ve been doing with a good clean as the grout around shower and tiles was very grubby.
Great location very clean the staff where amazing
