Solo traveling 2026
Pros:

I saw the Arlo hotel on TikTok I solo travel at least four times a year. Chicago was my first trip of the year. My thought walking into the hotel. I saw the beautiful bookshelf and the Photo Booth, which everybody need to experience before you leave for memories ! walking to the front desk, the hotel staff that was very accommodating and very nice and I enjoyed the can water that they gave me. I know something small, but it was really nice been trying to find it since I get home lol

. And I really appreciate the deposit because it was so cheap because some hotels in that location charged by the day and I love the day do not extort their customers or their travelers for deposits and all the different surcharges.

Also, I met the staff in the restaurant;Idk if he’s the manager of the supervisor. I do not remember his name he was black guy bald guy with square glasses (I’m
Woman writing this fyi) , but he was so sweet to me and he gave me pointers on where to go .he was a 10 out of 10 experience even with some of the local residence being rude. he was one of the headlights on my trip.

I stayed on the 16th floor had a view of the bean and also across from the Nutella store and Garrett popcorn. The view was literally beautiful and walking distance of everything and close to every restaurant and if you needed something in a hurry, there was a CVS literally across the street. I wasn’t far from all of the tour attractions that were there which was 10 out of 10 and literally 9 minute walking distance from the architectural boat tour and when I come back to Chicago, I will be staying at the Arlo. Until next time Chi City ♥️

It’s not a dislike, but it’s a FYI type of situation. The rooms are very small but it’s for solo travelers or it could be for a very intimate setting so just keep that in mind.

Fun hotel
Pros:

Great location. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds & pillows

Cons:

Windows on the 17th floor are lousy. We paid $19 extra per night to be on the top floor and the noise from the cars racing on Michigan Avenue at night was terrible. Very hard to sleep

Solid and Central Stay
Pros:

Check-In was very easy and staff was able to hold our bags before our room was ready. Beds were comfy and the partial view of the park was nice. The room was clean, everything worked, location was amazing, and robes were nice. Controlling the temp of the room was easy and the blackout and privacy shades were convenient.

Cons:

Honestly there wasn't anything that bothered me. The wi-fi got spotty, but I didn't need it for work.

The staff was incredibly helpful and so kind. It felt so nice to walk in and be remembered and warmly greeted!
