Makes you feel like the king and queen of the castle! Most beautiful setting we have been in sri lanka. Very quiet but for birdsounds. The view of the lake is so peaceful. Very luxurious rooms for very good price. The food is tasty, fresh and beautifully presented. Staff is very friendly. Would have liked to stay here longer.
It was a place surrounded by beautiful views of Victory Reservoir. A very quiet place with supportive staff and good food. We enjoyed our time, and all our needs were provided, including Wi-Fi, which worked.
There is no facility available to make a settlement with a credit card. I had to go to Teldeniya town to get money from an ATM to settle my bill. Also, after settling the bill, the manager, before we left, informed us that the items (two bottles of drink and a packet of peanuts) in the mini fridge we had used were not included in the bill; therefore, we had to pay for them. We were quoted another Rs.500. I assumed they were complimentary but I was told it was not.
Pros:
The property is located in a beautiful, serene setting. It is a good place to relax and enjoy some solitude.
The caretaker was extremely helpful and accommodating throughout our stay.
Cons:
We booked two rooms that were advertised as having lake views, but neither room had a clear view of the lake. As shown in the attached photos, the balconies were surrounded by large trees.
The outdoor area had great views, but there were no comfortable chairs from which to enjoy them. The steel chairs provided were extremely uncomfortable.
Some areas of the property require maintenance. For example, the balcony lights and the lights in one of the bathrooms did not work. The sofa in the living room was also old and appeared dirty.
Overall, our experience did not meet our expectations due to the misleading advertising and the lack of amenities, such as comfortable seating areas, from which to enjoy the property and its surroundings.

This place its not clean and very dirty
I had a truly unforgettable stay at this property. The location is stunning, situated right in front of a tranquil lake and surrounded by inspiring nature that makes you feel instantly relaxed. The architecture of the hotel is a work of art—unique and beautiful at every turn.
What truly brought this stay to life was the incredible staff. My bad i forgot this incredible staffs name who took care of us. He is the Best. They didn't just provide service; they provided genuine connection. Whether it was a warm greeting by name each morning or their intuitive ability to anticipate what I needed before I even asked, their presence made the property feel 'living' rather than just a building.They shared local stories, offered thoughtful recommendations, and checked in with a sincerity that is rare to find. It’s that human touch—that feeling of being seen and cared for—that transformed a great vacation into a deeply personal and memorable experience. They are the heartbeat of this hotel.

We took the suite on an upgrade offer and it was stunning. The views of the lake were superb. The room was as spacious and tastefully decorated with a great bathroom. The location was very quiet about 30 mins from central Kandy and 2 hour from Knuckles which was ideal for us. The food was excellent with a generous breakfast and good dinner options. Finally the staff were amazing, genuinely kind, attentive and helpful.
The light switches were a bit puzzling but we got the hang of them after one night.
Außergewöhnlich schöne Lage und sehr zuvorkommende Gastgeber, die sich unglaublich bemühen, einen schönen Aufenthalt zu bereiten. Im See kann man wunderbar baden. Auf jeden Fall sehr empfehlenswert zum Entspannen auf der Reise. Wir haben von hier aus schöne Ausflüge in die Knuckle Mountains und zum Rangala Natural Pool gemacht.
A beautiful building in lovely surroundings with the lake on 3 sides.
Great bedroom, fantastic shower, and a balcony in the trees with birds and chipmunks in the branches.
Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Breakfast was super. The reception rooms were lovely with views of the lake.
This is advisory and not that we didn’t like it, but it is located down a single track lane, with sharp turns and slopes. Some drivers wouldn’t come down it so needed the manager to organise a TukTuk.

The road leading up is narrow. So be prepared. But almost all jungle properties are similar. It’s why the
Views are so spectacular.
La struttura è davvero meravigliosa. Sebbene la strada per raggiungerla sia un po’ complicata in realtà il disagio viene ripagato dalla bellezza del luogo. Le camere sono spaziose e con vetrate bellissime verso l’esterno. La sala comune è unica nel suo genere poiché la casa è incastonato dentro una roccia. Il cibo è delizioso e i gestori lo sono altrettanto. Gentilissimi, molto disponibili e davvero affabili.
It's not a conventional hotel or resort. We saw at least 20 species of birds including Srilankan Grey Hornbill (they wake you up by knocking on your window). We enjoyed the lake, reflections of mountains on water and the stuff is wonderful.
It's a little understaffed.
