Hotel Capitano

Very quaint, comfortable and cozy hotel. It is modest but with an old-school Icelandic taste. We had all we needed for a good stay. Our windows faced beautiful mountains and the area itself is a small charming fishing town.

Area around nice but hotel very bad not recommended

No coffee or tea, but a coffee pot. 1/4 roll of toilet paper. No soap or shampoo.

Llegamos y entramos por la puerta tracera no habia nadie hsta que nos contactamos con alguien q nos abrio la habitacion es limpia sin toallas y lo peor que no hay nadie que te atienda en recepcion

Ein einfaches Hotel mit guten Betten.

Ankunft 18.30 Uhr. An der Rezeption (vermutlich der Koch) wurden wir sehr unfreundlich empfangen, als ob wir gerade stören.
Wir bekamen keine Infos bezüglich Zimmer oder sonstiges. Das WLAN hat auch nicht funktioniert.
Da der der Koch (Italiener) nicht freundlich war, hatten wir auch keine Lust ins Restaurant zu gehen. Zudem saß im Restaurant auch kein einziger Gast.
Wir waren eine Nacht zur Durchreise, länger würde ich auch nicht bleiben wollen.

This was hands down the worse hotel I have ever been at. The soap dispenser had 1/8th inch of soap, there were cracks in the wall, the floor was dirty, the beds crunched when you sat on them and the icing on the cake was when someone tried to get in our room late at night. We barricaded the door after that. We were scheduled to be there for 2 nights but we left after one. Horrible!!!! Learn from my mistake! Run! We asked for our money back for the second night but I know we will never see it. Don’t let them have yours.

Someone used their key and came into our room in the middle of the night. It happened 2 times! Not safe. Very noisy and could hear the neighbors, who we think were the ones accessing our room with their key. I would not recommend staying here.

Till now this il the worst place we had in Iceland, the Hotel actually needs a lot of cleaning, entrance is dark all forniture were scrapped, we asked for a carpet to get out from the shower… answer was we do not have carpet, we asked for a plastic bag for the rubbish … same answer
The room was not clean same for the bath that was also noising, the stand under the mirror was bending so not useable at all….

Attenzione: l'indirizzo della prenotazione non è corretto. Non è Fjardabiggd ( troppo generico ) ma Neskauptadur ( sul fiordo successivo).

It’s located in a small town right by the water. Check in time was latest by10 but the website did say if you are arriving late, let them know. We reached around 11:30 and the guy came to check in.

Nous avons été désorientés par le manque d'accueil sur place, porte fermée à clef. Ayant enfin trouvé quelqu'un, nous avons apprécié d'avoir une grande chambre avec salle d'eau. Le soir, dîné d'une soupe excellente.

It was a clean room. Just that needed more lighting in the room. The breakfast was nice!
