Kajibange bar and guesthouse

The place is beatiful, directly on the beach, but ii is the only place on zanzibar with manager and weiters sad.
Internet connection only in the reception, no in the rooms.

This was a really nice place to stay at, a clean and big room, a beautiful garden, a perfect location, a unique spot on the island near the fisherman village, and just some minutes away from the crowdy Nungwi beaches.

The staff at the bar and kitchen were very polite and friendly, we even come back on our last night in Zanzibar to have a dinner and couple of drinks because it was so good.
Try octopus salad and calamari curry – delicious! The drinks are very good as well, get yourself a Martini cocktail right away 😊

I made a big mistake booking my hotel here. Knew it was a mistake the minute I checked in. I am an older (dare I say elderly?) woman traveling along, so maybe I shouldn't have booked at a "bar", but it sounded fun online, nope. Room was nasty smelling and didn't feel secure, wifi in "common areas" means at the bar on chairs in the dirt and the dark. Spent the night, felt unsafe and uncomfortable, discussed in the morning and said I wasn't comfortable and was there any problem cancelling rest of my stay. Guy behind bar says no problem, helps me get a ride to another hotel.
And then it gets truly messed up ... refuse to refund me remaining nights. Ignoring texts, emails, etc. When I finally get through they say they can't refund because it's up to expedia. expedia says the hotel refused multiple times to refund. Just save yourselves the headache, there are many nice places to stay in Nungwi - just not this one.

Comfortable rooms, good food, the coldest beer in Nungwi, good music, friendly crowd, helpful staff.

This is a very laid back property with Rastafarian vibes. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The food is some of the best in Nungwi. Walking distance along the beach to all the other restaurants and activities, especially at low tide. Bring your own shampoo.

The “hotel” is under construction, with continuous constructions noises from early in the morning. It shouldn’t be open for clients at the moment.

They never cleaned the room, they didn’t give us soap until the moment we asked for and they gave only one little soap.

The “manager” lady of the hotel is extremely arrogant with very bad behavior. She is always looking at you angry and she is not willing to help at all. She even asked more money for our bill in check out, which was against the official exchange rate of the island (2.330, while in the island they always ask 2.200. She wanted 2.000).

The sea in front of the hotel is the worst part of Nungwi.

There are so many options in Nungwi and I think we picked the one where we never feel welcomed. Not recommended.

The hotel staff are the laziest I have ever seen in my life, they work as if they are being forced to work there.
Even after giving them tip to motivate them they still drag their feet

The Kajibange was just what I needed. You have your basic amenities in the room - toilet, shower, AC, fridge , fan and a bed so huge, it could easily sleep 5. The setting is the best, right on the beach but hidden amounstt coconut trees and greenery. There is still some building required with some of the rooms, this did not bother me at all, but some people might find this "untidy". There was no noise with this, just some areas were untidy with building materials about. The owner and staff where superb and very chilled with no request being a problem. If you want chilled, relaxed and very eco, this is your place. If you want 5* luxury, then maybe look elsewhere. One thing to add is that as a Muslim country, there are "Prayers" at 04:00 and the mosque is very close. The call to prayer only last 5 mins or so, but can be annoying if you are a light sleeper.

Die Lage ist ein Traum und das Personal ist super. Das Essen ist auch der Hammer. Vor allem wird hier darauf geachtet, dass man nicht wegen Touren usw permanent am Strand angelabert wird, so wie es ca 500 m entfernt der Fall ist. Hirr hat man seine Ruhe und kann den Urlaub genießen

Le seul point positif est l'emplacement sur la plage . Il y a de la musique très forte toute la journée et le soir. J'avais réservé une chambre vue mer mais elle etait au dessus du bar, minuscule, tres mal équipée. J'ai demande a changer car c'était impossible de dormir la dedans. Heureusement on m'a proposé une autre chambre plus grande mais avec 10 usd de plus. Elle etait très sombre, le lit dur. Il n'y avait aucun produit de toilette. Le lieu est reggae, avec des fumeurs de joints toute la journée. Nous sommes partis plus tôt et avons perdu 3 jours de réservation. J'ai fait une plainte a expedia et j'attends une réponse..un conseil: ne faites pas de réservation dans cet hotel.

The property is in a tropical setting. However, it is at the farthest point away from the other beach eateries and beaches. Also it is the most expensive for food, drinks, water. Also at high tide you are cut off from the beaches. The rooms face a public park so you have to close the drapes and when the AC doesnt work as in my room you need the window open to keep a breeze going thru. They allow smoking so if you dont this may be a problem. They play loud music till late at night especially loud on friday and saturday nights.

Stedet var pænt og flot og i god stand. Værelserne var nogle af de bedste vi har boet på de 5-6 steder vi har boet på zanzibar.
Stranden den ligger på er flot og lever op til forventningerne for zanzibar.
Dog er personalet meget dovne og kan godt finde på at snakke i telefon inden de lige har tid til at betjene dig.
Desuden er maden dyr i forhold til normen på zanzibar, men den ligger også i den gode ende.

There is no place like this in nungwi. On the beach chilled vibe nice food.

If you are looking for place with really good atmosphere,,if you want to be again free ..it is the place for you.I have hade really amazing time in staying down there.
The location is great so is the beach.

Wunderschöne Location, send gemütliche Sitzgelegenheiten direkt am Strand!

Самое лучшее расположение на пляже и лучший отель! Замечательный, отзывчивый персонал! Отдыхали втроём- я, муж и ребёнок 15 лет. Мы прошли весь пляж и ни разу не пожалели, что выбрали именно этот отель. Только здесь зелёная территория с кучей гамаков, лежаков и столиков под навесами, а ещё пологий песчаный заход в океан сразу от отеля. Очень вкусно готовят. Есть нюансы, например в номерах нет шампуня и геля для душа, чайно-кофейных принадлежностей, а также пляжных полотенец. Но мы были к этому готовы:). Очень понравился номер, мы жили в номере 10. Специально для ребёнка поставили вторую полноценную огромную кровать с балдахином. И ещё раз хочу поблагодарить персонал. Ребята, спасибо огромное!

Authentische romantisch Anlage, Lage direkt am Strand, freundliches Team. Empfehlung für Backpacker.

Очень хорошие впечатления от отеля, хотя он и отличается от большинства других рядом ) более расслабленный, домашний и уютный )
Ыы здесь не найдете 5тизвездочного обслуживания и понтов. Но здесь всегда чистенько, уютно, безопасно. Готовят вкусно и дешевле чем в центре Нунгви.
Всегда отличная музыка. Очень адекватные и дружелюбные хозяин и персонал.
Отель прям на берегу океана. практически единственный такой отель на всем побережье Нунгви. рядом деревня и очень ненапряжные местные жители ) так что всю экзотику Занзибара вы увидите своим глазами, при этом это будет абсолютно безопасно и безпроблемно )
