Hotel Terasu Salento

The front desk staff was very helpful and welcoming. The room and bathroom was impeccably clean; the bed linens were great and the bed was comfortable. There was a small living room/dining area for guests which always had hot water for tea, coffee and filtered water. There was also filtered water in the room. The place is rustic but very, very pleasant. The breakfast offerings were tasty and substantial.

What a lovely and relaxing stay! A few minutes walk from town, overlooking the lights at night, and enjoying thx beautiful view. The most enjoyable and freshly prepared breakfasts to start off the day, and lovely relaxing jacuzzis and a sauna to pamper you after a busy day of hiking or horse riding (or just shopping).
And the best staff! So caring and ready to help!

This hotel really made our stay in Salento wonderful. We got a large room upstairs with a king sized bed. The beds were so comfortable and the showers hot with great water pressure. The rooms and common space were decorated well, with cute porches and hammocks outside. The hotel is located walking distance to downtown and entre bosques coffee farm. The best part of staying here was the staff. Valentina and Yidleydi went above and beyond to help us with whatever we needed (restaurants, coffee tours, etc). Orlando who works there even drove his motorbike for us to follow him to get air in our tires. Make SURE you take advantage of the wonderful spa experiences Gisele and Natalia provide! Gisele was so wonderful, applying aloe to our sunburns and bug bites. I would recommend noise cancelling headphones and/or white noise if you are a light sleeper. But overall we loved staying here.

We stayed 3 nights as part of our 3 week visit to Colombia. There was so much to do in the area and this hotel was ideal and tranquil. The beds were so big and comfy and the grounds were amazing with hot tubs, sauna and jacuzzi

Hotel Terasu remains a good property in Salento but be prepared for the management to spam your WhatsApp with unsolicited commercial messages offering additional services or requesting that you hashtag them in social media posts.

I blocked the first message so they pestered me from a new number, at which point I complained to them.

Colombian Ley 1581 de 2012 requires companies to obtain consent for each specific use of personal data. Hotel Terasu receives mobile numbers with the bookings and wrongly presumes it is OK for them to use this for marketing, cross-selling, and social media strategy. It is not OK, it is plain illegal under Colombian law. One could wonder what other Colombian laws this hotel does not care about.

If for some reason you like being bothered by intrusive, unprofessional and juvenile WhatsApp messages then Hotel Terasu is definitely the perfect option in Salento. The hotel would do well to reconsider its policy, especially since it is not lawful and could result in complaints to the Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo.

The stay here was excellent. We were welcomed with a warm drink, kind service from the staff, and a beautiful place to stay. The attention to small details was clear in the room, grounds, and service from the staff. A beautiful amazing place to stay. Thank you!

I loved Hotel Terasu. The room was super cozy with an amazing view. The staff are great. Would love to stay there again sometime soon

Our experience at the Hotel Terasu was phenomenal! The attention to detail, the friendliness of the staff, the amenities such as the hot tub and sauna and the excellent breakfast really made for a magical experience in Salento. We would highly recommend this boutique hotel and give it 10 stars!

Beautiful property with amazing views, very peaceful! The staff were very friendly and attentive for anything you need. Very clean rooms. The breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit everyday! My mother and i purchased one of their massages and loved it. Five minutes to town by car. Will definitely be going back!

Hotel was well located, 10 minutes walk from town, be warned if you are coming on the bus with luggage!

Daily breakfast was very good and the hotel grounds were nice as well with Sauna, jacuzzi and massages available.

Each room also had a terrace with a hammock and chairs to relax in as well as a nice communal area.

The rooms visually looked very nice, however they were not soundproofed and would wake up several times in the night due to the noise. The fridge in the room was very noisy and the compressor would kick in frequently making a lot of noise. The fridge wasn't in a cabinet so sound came directly in the room.

No in room safe and there is no fan or AC in the room, it was ok whilst we were there with overnight temps of about 15c, but would be a struggle to sleep if it was hotter.

Overall the hotel was nice, but some details and the soundproofing let it down.

Liz,Giz and all staff went above and beyond for us. Breakfast was excellent, tours were wonderful. Will definitely recommend and hopefully will be back!

The property is absolutely beautiful with tons of orchids everywhere. Rooms where comfortable and was great to have a hammock on the terrace. The staff was super friendly and accommodating.

We took the coffee/horseback riding tour and it was great! The sauna and hot tubs were amazing, we got to use them every night. Every night there’s a fire pit very nice to hang out in. The massages were great and the massage therapist was excellent.

My only suggestion would be to add a door to the spa and more vegetation at the top for added privacy.

A beautiful boutique hotel. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, huge comfortable bed, loved having a hot tub and sauna on site (free to use) and I enjoyed a very relaxing massage by the hotel masseur also. Views from the terrace are amazing and we loved having a drink and our breakfast up there. Good choices for breakfast, plenty of fruit and bread and the most delicious guava juice too! No restaurant on site but less than 10 minute walk to Salento main square. I only wish we could have stayed longer at Terasu!
